Boutin Gets a Fold from Bicknell

Level 6 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

With around 200,000 in the middle, Louis Boutin and Kristen Bicknell went heads-up to a flop of {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Both players checked and the {9-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Boutin led out for 165,000 from under the gun and Bicknell called on the button. The {4-Spades} on the river completed the board and Boutin continued with a bet of 365,000. Bicknell studied the board and thought long and hard before eventually mucking her cards.

Kamal Continues his Climb

Level 5 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Mike Watson, on the button, chose to three-bet to 102,000 after an early position raise of 34,000. Hamidreza Kamal called from the small blind and the initial raiser folded. The flop came down {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Kamal led out for 102,000, in which Watson chose to call.

The turn was the {q-Spades} and Kamal decided to lead out again, but this time for 204,000. Watson folded his cards into the muck and Kamal pulled in the pot.

Moorman Coolers Romanello

Level 5 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

It was a four-bet pot preflop between Chris Moorman and Roberto Romanello. The flop fell {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Spades} and the two players quickly got all of the chips in the middle with Romanello being the player at risk.

Chris Moorman: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Roberto Romanello: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Both players flopped a set, with Moorman holding the superior one. Romanello would need to catch a one-outer in order to stay alive but the {8-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {a-Diamonds} on the river were of any help.

Bicknell Eliminates Despres

Level 5 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Four players saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for 38,000 each. The action checked around to the {5-Diamonds} on the turn and it was Kristen Bicknell who took the first shot at the pot with a bet of 115,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, Simon Despres called from the cutoff, and the button mucked his hand as well.

The river was the {q-Spades} and Bicknell took her time before announcing all in for 554,000. Despres only had 485,000 left in front of him and now it was his turn to spend some time in the tank. After a few minutes, Despres announced a call and Bicknell tabled {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Despres' {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} was unable to beat Bicknell's trip fives and he was eliminated for the first time today.

Moorman Enters the High Roller

Level 4 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Chris Moorman just registered for the $10,300 High Roller and has already found his way into the action.

Roberto Romanello raised to 35,000 and was called by the cutoff. Moorman was in the small blind and decided to three-bet to 145,000, which was called by both Romanello and the cutoff.

The flop showed {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Moorman led out for 115,000. Romanello called the 115,000 and the cutoff mucked his cards. The turn came down the {3-Clubs} and Moorman fired out 280,000. Romanello waited a few moments before throwing his cards in the middle.

Elias Doubles Through Yoon

Level 4 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Brian Yoon had been cruising along with no sign of any troubles in the early stages of the tournament, climbing to over 4,000,000 chips at one point. However, he ran into a buzzsaw of Darren Elias who quickly put a halt to any momentum that Yoon had going his way.

The board read {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Elias was all in for 682,000. Yoon asked for a count and then sat in thought for over two minutes. After counting out the chips to call, Yoon finally stuck the chips in the middle and Elias showed him the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the nut flush.

Foxen Looking to Continue His Hot Streak

Level 4 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Alex Foxen has had an incredible start to 2018 and he's looking to build on it heading into the summer. Foxen is coming off multiple final tables in high roller events including a win in the Super High Roller in Macau for nearly $1,000,000.

With around 325,000 in the middle and the board reading {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Foxen made a bet of 173,000 from the hijack. Pablo Mariz called from the button and the {7-Diamonds} completed the board. Foxen checked this time and Mariz checked behind him. Foxen turned over {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a missed flush draw but his pair of sevens on the river was good enough to earn him the pot.
