The Rich get Richer

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The board read {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Spades} with approximately 130,000 in the pot and Brian Yoon checked to Darren Elias on the button. Elias put 90,000 into the middle and Yoon decided to check-raise to 300,000. Elias waited a few moments before calling.

The river came the {10-Hearts} and Yoon quickly bet 650,000. Elias was reluctant to call for a few moments before he decided to call Yoon's 650,000 bullet. Yoon flipped up {j-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for the nuts and Elias then disappointedly sent his cards to the muck.

Farrell Flops a Set to Double Up

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

David Guay raised to 28,000 from under the gun and was called by the hijack along with Niall Farrell in the small blind and the big blind. The flop came {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the action checked around to the {q-Diamonds} on the turn.

Two more checks meant the action was on Guay who decided to fire out a bet of 65,000. The hijack folded and Farrell put in a check-raise to 185,000. The big blind folded and Guay made the call. The river brought the {3-Spades} and Farrell shoved all in for his last 351,000. Guay tossed in a single chip to signify a call and Farrell tabled {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a set of sixes to score the double up.

Mariz Takes Control on the River

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Pablo Mariz raised to 25,000 from early position and was three-bet to 75,000 from the big blind by Kevin Hobbs. Mariz called and the flop hit the felt with {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Hobbs lead out for 110,000 and Mariz took his time before calling.

The turn showed a {3-Hearts} and Hobbs chose to lead out for 250k. Mariz counted out the remainder of his own chips and tanked for a couple minutes before deciding to call. The river came down the {5-Diamonds} and Hobbs chose to avert from the previous two streets and checked. Mariz counted out the rest of his chips and decided to move them all in the middle for 402,000. Hobbs tossed his cards into the muck and Mariz took down the pot.

The flop fell {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Farrell led out for 75,000. Kruk tanked for a minute before making the call to see the {4-Diamonds} land on the turn. Farrell chose to check his option this time and Kruk tossed in a bet of 100,000. It was a quick decision for Farrell as he tossed his cards into the muck.

Yoon Holds the Early Lead

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There has been no shortage of action in the first couple levels of the High Roller with a couple of bust-outs already. Brian Yoon has been the beneficiary of the majority of chips and he continued to apply pressure to his opponent.

Pablo Mariz just sat down at his table and found himself with an early decision to make. On a board reading {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Mariz led out for 41,000 only to be raised to 210,000 by Yoon. Mariz thought for a minute and then decided to muck his cards, allowing Yoon to scoop another pot.

David Guay and Victor Ramdin are a couple other players to recently take their seats.

Kruk Tries to Induce a Bet from Lewis

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Christopher Kruk opened to 25,000 from under the gun and was called by Toby Lewis in the cutoff along with the small and big blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and the action checked to Kruk who continued for 25,000. Lewis called while both of the blinds laid their hands down.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and Kruk checked this time. Lewis fired out a bet of 50,000 and Kruk stuck around to see the {k-Diamonds} on the river. Kruk checked and Lewis tapped the table as well. Kruk turned over {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a flush and scooped the pot.
