Piccioli Wins With Two Pair

Level 5 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Bryan Piccioli
Bryan Piccioli

The board read {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Bryan Piccioli checked from the big blind to Kristen Bicknell who had bet 60,000. Mustapha Kanit sat in middle position on the other side of the table and he folded.

Piccioli called to see the {4-Diamonds} on the river and Bicknell checked quickly behind when Piccioli checked again.

Piccioli showed {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} which was enough to win the pot from the Canadian partypoker Pro.

Sontheimer, Schemion, Gross Mix it Up

Level 5 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Steffen Sontheimer, Ole Schemion, and Jeff Gross are all seated at the same table, and the three well-established poker players are going to battle against each other.

One recent hand saw Sontheimer open to 26,000 from early position, and get calls from Schemion in the hijack and Markus Grewe in the big blind.

All three players checked the {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop, and Grewe bet 25,000 on the turn {j-Diamonds}, getting two folds and taking down the pot.

On the following hand, Sontheimer opened to 26,000 from under the gun, getting a call from Gross in the big blind. Both players checked the {4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop, and Gross check-called a 50,000 from Sontheimer on the {q-Diamonds} turn.

Both players checked the {6-Hearts} river, and Gross showed {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and took doen the pot.

Neuville Takes it With a River Raise

Level 5 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pierre Neuville opened the action with an under-the-gun raise to 30,000 but he was three-bet by Oleg Mandzjuk from the cutoff. It folded back to Neuville who called the three-bet.

The flop fell {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Neuville check-called a bet of 40,000. Both checked on the {6-Clubs} turn and Neuville checked for the third time in a row on the {7-Clubs} river.

Mandzjuk fired a bet of 135,000 but Neuville had different plans. He raised to 400,000 and that turned out to be enough to push Mandzjuk out of the pot.

Kisacikoglu Doubles Up

Level 4 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

After a tough start to the day, Orpen Kisacikoglu is back up over the million-chip mark.

Kisacikoglu doubled up on an all-in preflop hand, with his {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} besting an opponent's {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} on a {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} runout.

Kisacikoglu, who won the Triton 100k Super High Roller earlier in the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Europe series, was down to less than 400,000 chips earlier in Day 1b, but is back to a healthy stack as Level 4 winds down.

Neuville Makes Sapitavicius Fold

Level 4 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Pierre Neuville raised to 26,000 from the button when the others all folded and Philipp Gruissem folded his small blind. The only player that called to see the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop was Arunas Sapitavicius from the big blind.

The Lithuanian check-called a bet of 55,000 from Neuville to see the {10-Spades} on the turn. Neuville fired a big bet of 150,000 when it was checked to him on the turn and he was called by Sapitavicius again.

The river was the {3-Spades} and both had checked to see what they had and Neuville's {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} was best against the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Sapitavicius.

Mdanat Leads Out, Gets River Fold from Geilich

Level 4 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Yazan Mdanat, from under the gun, check-called a 30,000 bet from Ludovic Geilich in the hijack, with the flop reading {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Geilich continued the aggression on the turn, upping the bet size to 165,000 as the {3-Diamonds} came in.

Mdanat called the turn bet, then led out with his own 165,000 bet on the {7-Clubs} river. Geilich used a time bank chip, then folded.
