Bicknell Picks off Carrel's Bluff

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Kristen Bicknell checked under the gun with {3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{q-Clubs} on the board, and Charlie Carrel bet 25,000, which Bicknell called.

The river brought the {k-Hearts}, Bicknell checked again and Carrel put out another bet for 55,000. Bicknell thought it over for a bit before calling, showing {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} against Carrel's {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

Schemion Eliminated

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The number on the clock dropped to 18 as Ole Schemion stood up from his table. He seems to be eliminated and sent to the rail. There are a little over 45 minutes left in the day and he is still able to register until the end of the first level tomorrow.

Phua Four-Bets With Eight-Six Suited

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Paul Phua
Paul Phua

It folded to Paul Phua in the cutoff and he raised to 11,500 with {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Michael Addamo sat in the small blind with {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and he kept playing in an aggressive manner. He three-bet to 50,000 and Chin Wei Lim folded in the big blind.

The action was back on Phua who used a time bank chip before putting 135,000 in the middle with 222,000 behind. That was enough to push Addamo out of the pot and take it all down.

Yong Takes From Wei Lim

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Wai Kin Yong in London last week
Wai Kin Yong in London last week

Chin Wei Lim raised to 10,000 from the hijack to 10,000 with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and he was called by Wai Kin Yong from the cutoff with {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Michael Addamo from the big blind with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

The flop came down {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and it checked to Yong who took over the betting initiative with a bet of 21,000. Addamo quickly got out of the way but he was called by Wei Lim.

The turn was the {9-Spades} which brought some straight possibilities and both players checked.

The {8-Spades} river completed Yong his straight and he fired a bet of 27,000 when Wei Lim checked to him. Wei Lim made the correct laydown while Yong picked up the pot.

Yong won the £100,000 Main Event at the Triton Super High Roller Series in London only a week ago for £2,591,695 (approx. $3,150,000) and immediately after finished runner up in the £100,000 short deck event for £1,835,000 (approx. $2,200,000). He can add another Triton title in this event but the road is still long.

Kisacikoglu Eliminated for the Second Time

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu was already short after a big hand he lost to Ben Heath but he just lost the remainder of his stack. He got it in the middle with {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} against {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

No help for Kisacikoglu on the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts} board and Kisacikoglu was eliminated for the second time today. The tournament has an unlimited reentry format so he is still allowed to fire another bullet.

Heath Leaves Kisacikoglu Hanging by a Thread

Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Orpen Kisacikoglu checked from the small blind on a {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} board, and Ben Heath bet 52,500.

Kisacikoglu called, and the river fell {10-Diamonds}. Kisacikoglu thought it over for awhile before leading out for 55,000. Heath went all in, and Kisacikoglu called.

Heath turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the full house, besting Kisacikoglu's {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Kisacikoglu had Heath barely covered, and the los left him with just 28,000 chips with the blinds at 2500/5000/

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sam Trickett opened from the cutoff, Kristen Bicknell three-bet to 30,000, and Trickett called.

Trickett checked the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, and Bicknell bet 22,000. Trickett called, and both players checked the {q-Diamonds} turn.

Trickett checked again on the {k-Clubs} river, Bicknell bet 35,000, and Trickett folded.

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
