Welcome Back for Day 1b of partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Vegas at Aria
It was a jam-packed opening day to the first-ever 2019 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Vegas at Aria that saw a total of 222 players take to the felt. It is expected to be an even busier Day 1b as tournament organizers hope to reach that large guaranteed prizepool of $5,000,000.
After the opening day drew to a close that saw 143 players put chips in a bag, it was Govert Metaal that topped the field with 482,500 chips. That alone is quite some feat as he was forced to battle with some of the greats at his table including David Peters and Manig Loeser. The Aria Resort and Casino was filled with familiar faces at each and every table throughout the day for this premiere event.
It was also a successful day for many of the partypoker pros with the majority of them bagging chips for Day 2. Leading the team is Bertrand Grospellier with 263,000 chips followed by Joao Simao with 239,000. For those that were not able to make it through the full eight levels, today is their second chance to do so.
The action will get underway at 12 p.m. local time and each player will start off with 100,000 chips. The blinds will begin at 200/500 with a 500 big blind ante. The levels will be 60 minutes in length with a 20-minute break after every two levels. There will only be eight levels played on Day 1 before the players bag and tag for the night. Late registration will remain open throughout the day and will officially close at the start of level 11 on Day 2.
