Gareth McMahon Eliminated First Hand of Day 2

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Gareth McMahon was the first player eliminated on Day 2 after hitting the rail on the very first hand of the day.

Chris Donnachie jammed all in for 29,000 from early position. McMahon called before Leo Nash jammed for 138,000, which more than covered McMahon's starting stack of 68,000.

McMahon tanked for less than a minute before he called.

Donnachie: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
McMahon: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Nash: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Nash was well ahead before and after the {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop.

McMahon shouted for a nine and a {9-Spades} appeared on the turn. He then shouted for a six, but the {q-Spades} appeared on the board to eliminated him from the tournament. Meanwhile, Donnachie, who brought a short stack forward from the turbo Day 1d, triple up.

Nash wasn't too upset since he won the side pot.

"That's alright," said Nash. "I'll take that."
