Harry Dukes Gets There To Double

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Harry Dukes
Harry Dukes

Mindaugas Gricius opened for 1,600 and Sean Lai raised to 4,000.

Harry Dukes moved all in for around 35,000. Gricius snapped him off and with Lai getting out of the way Dukes sensed trouble and he was right.

Gricius: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Dukes: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Diamonds to the rescue with a flush for Dukes who couldn’t quite believe it. Neither could Gricius who was down to 10,000 and stunned.

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Sean Lai

Sean Lai has been tearing things up in Day 1c and his stack is now at 200,000. In a recent hand, he got it all in with {a-}{k-} against his opponent's {9-}{9-}.

The board ran out {a-}{10-}{8-}{q-}{j-} to give both players a straight. However, Lai's straight was higher and he snagged a pot of over 60,000 in chips.

Weijre Zheng Triples Up

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Weijre Zheng
Weijre Zheng

Weijre Zheng had a rough go in Day 1b after firing two bullets and being eliminated before dinner break. He was down very low in Day 1c as well, but just tripled up.

With a few thousand already in the pot, Noel Wagner bet 1,800 after the flop came {9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Steven Bohan called and then wished Zheng good luck after he called and was all-in.

Wagner then said to Bohan, "Did you really just wish him good luck?"

Bohan replied that he did and Wagner said that he needed the luck instead.

The {3-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and Wagner was all-in for a little more than 15,000. Bohan tanked for a minute during which time Wagner asked if his opponent had {10-}{8-}.

Bohan snapped back and said, "If I had that I would have already called."

Bohan eventually folded and Wagner turned over {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for top pair. He was drawing dead after Zheng turned over {q-Spades}{10-Spades} for the straight. The river was inconsequential and the dealer shipped the pot over to Zheng.
