Alvarado Among Next Batch of Casualties

Level 8 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
JC Alvarado
JC Alvarado

Just before the blinds had gone up, JC Alvarado had raised from under the gun and eventually got his stack in with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for top pair against the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} of Gianluca Bernardini. The Italian had flopped a flush draw on {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{X-} and the {10-Hearts} turn and {4-Clubs} river confirmed the flush for Bernardini.

Aktulga No More

Level 8 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Roberto Romanello has recovered from the three-way all in of aces versus kings versus queens that delivered a king on the river on Day 1c and is doing much better on the final flight with almost five times the starting stack.

Yigit Aktulga was all in for the last 270,000 and Marco Fontanella called with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}, which had a flip against Aktulga's {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. The board came {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and that was it for Aktulga.

Below are further updated counts.

Huber Flips Well to Double

Level 8 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Stefan Huber
Stefan Huber

Among the next casualties was also Steve O'Dwyer, who took several shots at running up a stack without any avail. Other notables can be found below, Stefan Huber avoided the final defeat after doubling through Aleksandr Orlov.

Huber had three-bet out of the big blind, then called all in after the four-bet shove for his last 740,000.

Stefan Huber: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Aleksandr Orlov: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The board of {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} brought no upset and Huber remained in contention.

Salter Doubles Through Mizrachi

Level 8 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jack Salter
Jack Salter

The completed board showed {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and there were 550,000 in the middle. Jack Salter bet 375,000 and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi moved all in with the superior stack.

"I guess you could have queens. Do you have queens?" Salter asked in table chat, but received no reply. After short consideration, Salter shrugged and tossed in his chips for the call.

Mizrachi turned over his {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for trips tens and said "I guess you have better," which Salter indeed had beat with {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the straight. The double of the Brit was for 1.43 million, leaving Mizrachi with some small change.

Jiang and Guilbert Sent to the Rail

Level 9 : 15,000/35,000, 35,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Sosia Jiang was just standing up from her table and the chips were already implemented into the growing tower in front of Gianluca Bernardini. According to Jiang and Matthias De Meulder, Jiang had four-bet shoved for 1.25 million from under the gun, after her open-raise had picked up four callers and a big squeeze by Bernardini in the big blind.

Jiang got it in with ace-queen and Bernardini's ace-king held up.

Johan Guilbert is also no longer in contention. He open-shoved his short stack with the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and Gilbert Diaz called in the small blind with {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, the board of {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} gave Diaz top two pair.

Big Stacks and Bustouts

Level 9 : 15,000/35,000, 35,000 ante

In a three-bet pot between Cristian Egues Juanena and Dominik Nitsche in the small blind, the latter bet the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop for 350,000 and Juanena raised it up to 700,000. Nitsche wasted little time before announcing all in and Juanena checked his own stack carefully before sending his cards into the muck.

Nitsche moved up to 4.5 million and below you can find other big stacks and recent casualties.
