Level 31 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante
Zhong Chen
Zhong Chen

Within two hands the remainder of Zhong Chen's hand has vanished over on the outer table.

In the first hand, Pascal Lefrancois raised to 3.5 million first to act and Zhong Chen defended the big blind. On a flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Chen checked and called a bet of 2.5 million before the duo checked the {6-Hearts} turn.

The {6-Hearts} fell on the river and Chen checked, Lefrancois bet 7 million and was called to reveal {A-Spades}{2-Spades} as winning hand.

One hand later, Morten Mortensen raised on the button to 3.9 million and Chen shoved for 11 million from the small blind, Mortensen called.

Zhong Chen: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Morten Mortensen: {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The ace-deuce was at it again to haunt Chen and it did so on a board of {K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs} to send the Dutchman to the rail in 12th place for €100,000.

Jiang Doubles Through Veiga

Level 31 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Diogo Veiga limped in from the small blind with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Honglin Jiang checked his option with the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}. On the {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, Veiga bet 2 million, Jiang raised to 6 million and Jiang called with his set.

The {8-Diamonds} turn and {3-Hearts} river gave Jiang some revenge on the earlier big pot he lost and the double was sent to the New Zealander.

Jiang Loses a Big One

Level 31 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Diogo Veiga limped in with the {K-Spades}{3-Spades} and Honglin Jiang checked his option with the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Veiga bet the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{7-Spades} flop and Jiang called. On the {10-Diamonds} turn, Veiga bet 10 million and Jiang raised to 26 million, the Portuguese called. The {5-Spades} river completed the board and Veiga's bet of 44 million was called by Jiang, who had to forfeit a big portion of his stack.

Lefrancois Applies Pressure

Level 31 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

The first 10 minutes of the new level on the outer table brought no massive action before Pascal Lefrancois used his big stack to apply pressure. Zhong Chen opened to 3.5 million in the cutofff and Lefrancois called on the button, as did Adam Owen in the big blind.

The flop fell {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and action checked to Lefrancois, who bet 3.5 million. Owen called and Chen then check-raised to 11 million. Lefrancois was the only caller to see the {4-Clubs} turn go check, check. Chen checked the {A-Clubs} river and Lefrancois bet 75 million to give Chen all but two options, call all in or fold.

After using one time bank, Chen opted to send his cards into the muck.

Level 30 : 700,000/1,400,000, 1,400,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Adam Owen raised it up with the {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Pascal Lefrancois called out of the big blind with {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}. On a flop of {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Lefrancois check-raised from 2.8 million to 13 million and Owen called.
