Jiang Moves Up the Aggression

Level 30 : 700,000/1,400,000, 1,400,000 ante

Over on the feature table Honglin Jiang raised to 3.2 million with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Dominik Nitsche three-bet to 10 million on the button with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Jiang made it 26 million to go and forced a fold.

Jiang then opened with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} to 3.2 million and Morten Mortensen three-bet to 8.9 million with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Jiang folded and Mortensen raked in the pot, but both got into another three-bet hand again right after.

Mortensen three-bet to 8.9 million with the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} and Jiang now opted to four-bet shove with the {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} in order to force a fold from the Dane.

Stuer Gets Active

Level 30 : 700,000/1,400,000, 1,400,000 ante

Julian Stuer three-bet jammed big to force a fold before going into a pot with Thomas Boivin. The duo headed to the {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} turn and Boivin checked out of the big blind. Stuer bet 3.6 million and immediately faced a check-raise to 10 million by Boivin to release his cards into the muck.

Despite this, Stuer managed to spin up his stack slightly since returning to the tables.

Over on the feature table, Vitalii Pankov defended his big blind against a raise by Pascal Lefrancois and checked the {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. Lefrancois continued for 2.5 million and called the shove of Pankov for 15.4 million.

Vitalii Pankov: {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Pascal Lefrancois: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The {A-Hearts} turn and {10-Clubs} river were of no help and Pankov departed in 15th place for €65,000. All remaining 14 players now have €80,000 locked up.

Wigg Runs Into Aces - 16 Players Remain

Level 30 : 700,000/1,400,000, 1,400,000 ante
Anton Wigg
Anton Wigg

Byron Kaverman raised to 3.1 million and Morten Mortensen moved all in from the cutoff, all opponents folded.

At the same time one table over, Diogo Veiga raised to 3.1 million and Anton Wigg moved all in for 35 million from the small blind to see Veiga almost beat him into the pot when he was to act.

Anton Wigg: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Diogo Veiga: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

Wigg used his one time, but the request fell on deaf ears as the Swede was drawing dead on the turn of a board {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}.

The last hand on the other outer table was still played and Aymon Hata got his 14.2 million in with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. Kaverman called with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and had to forfeit half of his stack on a board of {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Right after the players prepared for the two table redraw.

Chen Takes from Kaverman

Level 30 : 700,000/1,400,000, 1,400,000 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Zhong Chen and Byron Kaverman on the outer table, the turn showed {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and the former checked in the big blind, as did Kaverman. Chen also checked the {2-Clubs} river and called a bet of 7.8 million. Kaverman briefly showed his cards but mucked when Chen flipped over {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush.

One for Wigg

Level 30 : 700,000/1,400,000, 1,400,000 ante

While Dominik Nitsche keeps his relentless aggression on with raises and continuation bets, Pascal Lefrancois does the same on the second outer table. Anton Wigg put up some resistance and check-called a bet of 4.6 million on the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} turn before leading the {J-Hearts} river for 8.4 million. Lefrancois quickly mucked and Wigg picked up the pot.
