Owen From Hero to Zero

Level 26 : 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante
Owen vs Brinkmann
Owen vs Brinkmann

Adam Owen jammed it in for the last 4,879,311 in the hijack and was called by Francisco Correia on the button.

Adam Owen: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Francisco Correia: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs} board gave Owen a set of sevens and he doubled to nearly 11 million.

Owen then got into a raising war with Martin Brinkmann and that resulted in a flip with the Brit at risk once more.

Adam Owen: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Martin Brinkmann: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and that spelled the end for the British mixed game specialist.

Fast forward a few moments and the next all-in showdown took place on the same table.

Manfred Hermann: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Hermogenes Gelonezi: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The pair held despite a huge sweat on the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} board as Manfred Hermann took a chunk out of the big stack of Hermogenes Gelonezi.

Two Pair for Kazantsev

Level 26 : 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante

Valentyn Kazantsev raised to 1,149,999 from the hijack and Ilia Rusalimchik three-bet to 3,100,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Kazantsev made the call.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Kazantsev check-called the 1,850,000 continuation-bet of Rusalimchik.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and Kazantsev checked again before making the call for 6,550,000.

The river completed the board with the {q-Diamonds} and both players checked. Kazantsev tabled the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for two pair and the pot.

Zeiter Hits the Rail in Three-Way Showdown

Level 26 : 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante

A three-way showdown emerged in which Diego Zeiter was the shortest stack. Andrei Chernokoz was also involved and Christian Rudolph had both covered by quite some margin.

Diego Zeiter: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Andrei Chernokoz: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Christian Rudolph: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The worst hand preflop got there as the board ran out {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} to keep Chernokoz in contention with a near triple up.

Wellenbach Loses All to Ferreira in Two Hands

Level 26 : 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante
Ferreira vs Wellenbach
Ferreira vs Wellenbach

Scott Wellenbach and Douglas Ferreira were sitting in the blinds and were heads-up with the latter at risk with the shorter stack.

Douglas Ferreira: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Scott Wellenbach: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Wellenbach was ahead but the board ran out {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Spades} for Ferreira to river the two pair to double up.

Two hands later, Wellenbach got his chips in from the cutoff and Ferreira reshoved for more from the button for the rest to fold.

Scott Wellenbach: {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Douglas Ferreira: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} to not help Wellenbach as he was eliminated in 49th place for $18,818.

Fontanella Eliminated by Gelonezi

Level 26 : 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante

Hermogenes Gelonezi raised it up to 1.1 million and was called by Francisco Correia on the button. Marco Fontanella three-bet to 4.5 million out of the big blind and Gelonazi was the only caller.

On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, Fontanella continued for 2,712,500 to earn a call and then jammed the {7-Spades} turn for 13,607,445. Gelonezi snap-called and had his opponent drawing dead.

Marco Fontanella: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Hermogenes Gelonezi: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The {q-Diamonds} river was meaningless as no card in the deck could help Fontanella.

Badziakouski Busted by Jetten

Level 26 : 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante
Jetten vs Badziakouski
Jetten vs Badziakouski

Mikita Badziakouski somehow got all his chips in while sitting on the button and was up against Peter Jetten who was sitting in the early position with the bigger stack.

Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Peter Jetten: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades} for Jetten to hold with the queens to send the partypoker Ambassador out of the tournament in 48th place.

Level: 27

Blinds: 300,000/600,000

Pershko Loses Flip to Ivarsson

Level 27 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Jonathan Proudfoot min-raised and then folded to the jams by Pavel Pershko for 7.5 million and Alexander Ivarsson for 9 million.

Pavel Pershko: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Alexander Ivarsson: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and that spelled the end for Pershko.

Shortly after on another table, Jake Schindler ran with queen-jack into the ace-queen of Endrit Geci and ended up second-best to become the next casualty.

Ferreira Crashes Out

Level 27 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Hermogenes Gelonezi raised to 1.2 million in the cutoff and Joao Ferreira jammed the button for 7.1 million. Andreas Christoforou went all-in over the top out of the small blind to isolate successfully, as Gelonezi elected to fold.

Joao Ferreira: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Andreas Christoforou: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop was bad news for Ferreira as he now needed running cards to stay in contention. It was all over with the {5-Spades} turn and the {2-Hearts} river was a formality.

Sklenicka Felted by Ulmer

Level 27 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante
Ulmer vs Sklenicka
Ulmer vs Sklenicka

Following a raise by Timothy Ulmer, it was Michael Sklenicka who jammed from one seat over for 3,617,816 and Ulmer made the call.

Michael Sklenicka: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Timothy Ulmer: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Sklenicka picked up more outs to the {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} turn with the superior flush draw. However, the {10-Hearts} river was not what he was looking for as the Czech poker pro became the next late casualty on Day 2.
