Hand-For-Hand Play Begins

In Level 17 with blinds of 3,500/7,000 and an ante of 875, action went three ways to a flop of with 47,000 in the middle and Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John led out for 35,000 in the small blind. Kevin “sofcknsick” Campbell called in the big blind to put action onto "ELITEMALESSO" in the cutoff, who shoved for 71,000. St. John reraised to 175,000 and Campbell came over the top, shoving for 278,000. St. John called all in for less, resulting in all three players' hands being shown.

Campbell was ahead after flopping bottom two pair and further improved as the turn gave him a set. However, any spade or diamond on the river would improve one or both players to a flush, and the river wound up putting St. John on top to earn him both pots and the knockout. Moments earlier, "Edsebo" was eliminated by Chris “rumpthumper” White in 13th place, meaning 11 players now remain. Two more eliminations are needed to reach the money, and hand-for-hand play is now in effect across the two remaining tables until the bubble bursts.

Tony "ToNiSiNzz" Sinishtaj Talks About WPT Online Borgata Series Win

In September, the World Poker Tour Online Borgata Series powered by partypoker US Network wrapped up its 10-event series with the conclusion of the $1,060 Main Event, a tournament that drew 440 entries and offered up a $432,700 prize pool.

The final table of eight battled it out for a $77,349 top prize, plus a Hublot Big Bang E Titanium watch valued at $5,200, and after 3.5 hours of play, it was Tony "ToNiSiNzz" Sinishtaj coming out on top to claim his second WPT-related title. Sinishtaj previously won the WPT Seminole Rock Poker Showdown in Season XVI for $661,283.

Sinishtaj sat down with PokerNews' Chad Holloway to talk about the win.

In Level 16 with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and an ante of 750, Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John raised to 12,000 in the hijack and Kevin “sofcknsick” Campbell called in the cutoff. "spinach_kale" three-bet shoved for 46,000 in the small blind and Anthony “Flawlessbinkage” Maio came over the top for 162,000, forcing the other two players in the pot to fold.

St. John Gets a Triple

In Level 15 with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625, action folded to Anthony “Flawlessbinkage” Maio on the button and he opened to 10,000. Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John three-bet to 35,000 in the small blind, leaving himself just 3,100 behind as action moved to Kevin “sofcknsick” Campbell in the big blind who cold-called the three-bet. Maio also called and the three saw the flop come .

St. John checked to Campbell, who bet 5,000. Maio called and then St. John called all in for 3,100 to take heads-up side-pot action to the turn , where Campbell fired out another 38,000 and Maio quickly folded.

St. John turned a flush and was up against a turned two pair held by Campbell. He was able to fade the four outer to a full house on the river and the pot of 117,000 was sent his way for the triple.

White Gets Thumped

In Level 13 with blinds of 1,800/3,600 and an ante of 450, "ELITEMALESSO" opened the action under the gun with a raise to 12,600. Chris “rumpthumper” White was next to act in the hijack and three-bet jammed for 41,800. Action folded back to "ELITEMALESSO" and they made the call.

White hit top pair, top kicker on the flop but was still behind his opponent's pair of kings. The turn gave him four more outs to Broadway, but the river bricked out and he found himself dry on chips as the pot was sent to "ELITEMALESSO".
