"ndirish50" Gets The Next Double

"ndirish50"
"ndirish50"

In Level 25 with blinds of 14,000/28,000 and an ante of 3,500, Michael "UFOLDIWIN" St. John opened to 56,000 in the cutoff and "ndirish50" re-shoved for 172,000 on the button. Action folded back to St. John and he called.

Michael "UFOLDIWIN" St. John: {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
"nirish50": {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

"ndirish50" picked up a seven on the flpo {10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} to only have three cards in the deck they needed to fade, which they easily did as the turn {8-Spades} and river {4-Spades} completed the runout to secure them the double.

"dadadada" Is The Next To Double

In Level 24 with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, action folded around to "dadadada" in the small blind and they jammed for 290,000. Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo wasted no time calling in the big blind.

"dadadada": {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

"dadadada" needed to hit an ace to stave off elimination and found one right away on the flop {8-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}. The turn {q-Diamonds} tripled the number of outs they needed to fade on the river, and they did just that as {a-Diamonds} came to give them trips and make their double official.

Himpele Dubs Through Hagerty

Don Himpele
Don Himpele

In Level 23 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 2,500, Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty opened on the button and Don "dhimp20" Himpele three-bet shoved for 237,000 in the small blind. Action folded back to Hagerty and he called.

Don "dhimp20" Himpele: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

Himpele remained ahead on the flop {4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, watching Hagerty pick up a few backdoor outs. One of them became a real possibility on the turn {8-Diamonds}, but Himpele faded the gutter and the ace on the river {j-Clubs} to double and increase his stack to over 500K as six-handed play continues.

Take Five (full)

The tournament has reached a five-minute break with play in Level 22 (8,000/16,000/2,000). Six players still remain, and updated chip counts have been provided below.

Ryan "TheSims" Hohner Eliminated On The Final Table Bubble

Ryan Hohner
Ryan Hohner

In Level 21 with blinds of 7,000/14,000 and an ante of 1,750, Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo open-jammed on the button for 180,000 effective and Ryan "TheSims" Hohner called all in for that amount in the small blind.

Ryan "TheSims" Hohner: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Hohner was ahead but racing, and wound up losing the race as the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} to leave him drawing dead by the turn to Lupo's kings up. His elimination in seventh means the six remaining players have all officially reached the final table; updated chip counts have been provided below.

Hand-For-Hand Play Resumes

"joey1way"
"joey1way"

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, "joey1way" re-shoved for 177,000 on the button over a cutoff-open from "dadadada", who called when action got back to them.

"joey1way": {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
"dadadada": {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

No help came for "joey1way" as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, missing their three outer plus an additional four backdoor gutshot outs to a chop to bring about their elimination from the tournament.

Jon "jetsfan411" Borenstein was also eliminated shortly beforehand, losing a monstrous pot to Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty after his ace-queen ran into king-ten on an {a-}{q-}{k-} flop, even further increasing Hagerty's chip lead as the final table looms near: just seven players now remain and hand-for-hand play is in effect again until the final table bubble bursts.

Anthony "supremetny" Chin Is The Bubble Boy

Anthony Chin
Anthony Chin

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, Anthony "supremetny" Chin three-bet jammed for 191,000 on the button over a cutoff-open to 27,000 from Michael "UFOLDIWIN" St. John in the cutoff. Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo re-jammed in the small blind and folded everybody else out of the hand.

Anthony "supremetny" Chin: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Daniel "centrfieldr23" Lupo: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Chin was unable to find a four as the board ran out {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} and he was knocked out of the tournament in tenth place, officially bubbling Event #4. All nine remaining players are now in the money and will earn at least $516 for their efforts.

Winners From the December Series

To give you an idea of the kind of big money payouts players will be looking at in this series, we figured we would post the results from the last series in December. Hand-For-Hand Play Begins

"rumpthumper"
"rumpthumper"

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,250, all of the chips went into the middle preflop between "ndirish50" in the cutoff and Chris "rumpthumper" White, who was in the big blind. White covered by just 3,000.

"ndirish50": {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Chris "rumpthumper" White: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

"ndirish50" picked up four extra outs to fade on the flop {q-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs} and three more yet on the turn {q-Diamonds}, but the task proved to be plenty doable as the river {3-Diamonds} left their snowmen on top and earned them the full double.

White was left with 3,000 and found a double on the following hand, but was then eliminated by Jon "jetsfan411" Borenstein shortly thereafter, finishing the tournament in 12th place.

Moments later, "upayformypennys" was also eliminated on the other table in 11th, and hand-for-hand play is now in effect with 10 players remaining and just one more elimination needed for the tournament to make it into the money.
