The final starting flight of the Big Stax XXXI 300 was the largest yet attracting 556 total entries and is in the books after another15 levels of play with 78 players bagging and tagging at the end of the night.
The final starting flight started off quick with all-ins being announced all over the room as players were either building stacks quickly or re-buying and trying. One player who built a stack very quickly was the Day 1d chip leader Ryan Eriquezzo. Eriquezzo built up a 200,000 stack early on and never dropped below that point once he did as he ended the night with 835,500, bringing an extra 500 more than Day 1a chip leader Po Ying.
Andrew Wu was another player who continuously built up his stack without ever dropping below the average, but it wasn't until Jake Poliner, who was the chip leader at the time holding over 600,00, sat down at the table and lost a huge hand against Wu that sent him to the top as he ended the night second in chips with 590,000.
Rounding out the top five stacks include Nathaniel Lindquist (571,000), Ryan Hagerty (472,000) and George Xenos, who was eliminated early on in the day but ended up bagging (443,500).
Other players to advance include Charles Johnson Jr (438,000), Alba Veliu (366,000), Alida Veliu (327,000), Michael Antimisiaris (188,000), and Anthony Anastasi (87,500).
The four starting flights accounted for 1383 total entries coming from 819 unique players with 187 players returning with a bag for Day 2 Starting Sunday at 11 a.m. local time. Players who didn't bag will still be able to buy-in until the end of level 16.
