The Big Stax poker series at Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania continues today with Day 1a of Big Stax XXXI 500 at 11 a.m.

Back in August, this event attracted 1,224 entries and at the end, it was Daniel Park and Jakob Datashvili agreeing on an ICM chop with Park claiming the first-place prize of $95,017 along with the Big Stax XXXI 500 trophy.

Parx Big Stax XXXI 500 Outlook

There first two starting flights will start at 11 a.m. with the last beginning at 10 a.m. All starting flights will play through Level 15. The surviving players from each flight will combine for Day 2 action on Sunday, October 6th, with the final table set to play out on Monday, October 7th.

The tournament will start players with 40,000 in chips with blinds lasting 45-minute for the starting flights. Day 2 will see levels upped to 60 minutes, while the final table will see them increase to 90 minutes in the final day.

15-minute breaks will occur after levels 3, 6 and 12 on each Day 1 with a dinner break at 6:30 p.m. It is an unlimited re-entry and best-stack-forward event. Late registration and re-entry will be available until Level 17 begins.

The tournament will be held in Parx East (3rd floor) for each Day 1 with Day 2 and the final day taking place in the poker room in the main casino.

The {2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop was checked to Xu who fired out 4,500 and was called by both opponents to see the {k-Hearts} fall on the turn.

Johnson check-folded after Najjar bet 6,000 while Xu called.

The {a-Hearts} river completed the board and Najjar lead out for 8,000.

Xu thought for a few moments, then tossed out his chips and called.

Najjar tabled {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for a rivered straight to scoop the pot.
