Michael Marder recently reentered the tournament and it didn't take long for him to get his remaining 40K in the middle.

Marder needed some help and he got it on the ![]()

flop. Neither the
turn nor
river changed a thing and Marder scored the double.
Jon Borenstein opened for 6,000 under the gun and Joey "Mush" Galazzo called two spots over. Don Himpele then moved all in for around 70,000 from the cutoff and action folded back to Borenstein, who called off for 63,000. Galazzo got out of the way and the hands were turned up.

and Borenstein shipped the double.
Himpele was left with crumbs, but he managed to double, then triple to get himself back up to a manageable stack. Could a comeback be in store? If there is, it'll happen at a different table as Table 43 broke shortly after these happenings.
David Stevens got his last 50,000 all in preflop and was looking to hold to stay alive.

The ![]()

flop was safe enough for Stevens, but the
turn was scary as it gave his opponent a club flush draw.
Fortunately for Stevens, the
was a safe card and he doubled up.

Players are now on their last 15-minute break of the night. When they return they'll play three more levels before bagging and tagging on the Day 1a flight.
The preflop action escaped us but we do know that Victor Ramdin got his stack of around 80,000 all in preflop and was at risk against Greg Fishberg.

Ramdin was looking for an ace, and while the ![]()

flop didn't hit him directly, it did give him added outs as a ten would give him Broadway.
The
turn was close to what he was looking for, while the
river sent him to the rail.
"Sorry it was you, Victor," Fishberg offered. Ramdin smiled and said that he'd return tomorrow to try again on Day 1b.
John Kostelac got his last 22,500 all in preflop from the big blind and found himself in prime position to ship a double against the player on the button.
