Big Stax 1100
Day 1a Completed
Day 1a of the Parx Big Stax XXXII 1100 Championship saw 217 entrants take to the felt, and by the time the clock expired on Level 15 the field was whittled down to 55 players. Leading the pack was Steven Snyder, who bagged 431,500.
Others to bag big stacks were Greg Fishberg (407,500), Joseph Wertz (406,500), Justin Huff (406,5000, and George Chen (400,500).
Joining them for Sunday’s Day 2 will be Ryan McKnight (326,000), Michael Marder (231,500), Victor Ramdin (224,000), Joey “Mush” Galazzo (219,500), and DFS expert andcofounder of Establish the Run Adam Levitan (101,000), and Daniel Weinman (96,000).
Of course, not everyone was fortunate enough to bag. Among those to fall on Day 1a were defending champ Grigoriy Shvarts, 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Greg Raymer, CJ McCray, Richard Sipple Sirous Jamshidi, 2015 WSOP Main Event champ Joe McKeehen, and Don Himpele.
The second and final starting flight will get underway at 11 a.m. on Saturday here at Parx. Late registration and reentry are open all day long. Once again, the plan is to play 15 levels. PokerNews will be there to capture all the action, so be sure to join us then.
The tournament staff just announced the remaining players will play four more hands at each table before bagging and tagging on Day 1a. Stay tuned for some chip counts (full chip counts to be posted in the morning) and a short recap of the action.
Joe Ritchie opened for 12,000 under the gun and action folded to Al Riccobono, who three-bet all in for 61,000 from the small blind. Ritchie asked for a count and then made the call.

to give Ritchie a boat. Riccobono needed to catch running sevens to stay alive but the
turn took away any chance of that happening.
The meaningless
was run out on the river and Riccobono took his leave from the tournament just short of the Day 1a conclusion.
Mike Cohen open-jammed for 35,000 from the cutoff and Derek Marmen called from the small blind.

flop. However, the dealer delivered salvation by turning the
to give Cohen nines full.
The
river failed to change anything and a seemingly frustrated Marmen sent the chips to his opponent.
Michael Marder moved all in for 46,000 under the gun and the player in the hijack called off for 42,000. The player on the button then jammed to put both players at risk, which prompted both blinds to fold.

Joey Taormina opened with a raise from the cutoff only to be met with a three-bet to 26,000 from Dominick Giovanniello on the button. Both blinds folded and Taormina responded by four-bet jamming for 70,000. Giovanniello didn't seem excited about it but spiked in a call after pausing for a few beats.
