Hamilton Doubles

Hamilton on Day 1
Hamilton on Day 1
Tobias Reinkemeier was in the cutoff seat and raised to 25,000. On the button was Lisa Hamilton, the reigning WSOP Ladies' Event champion. She moved all in for around 140,000. The blinds folded and then action fell back on Reinkemeier who went into the tank.

About half a minute went by before William Reynolds called the clock on Reinkemeier. Reinkemeier wasn't pleased and asked Reynolds what he was doing calling the clock on him. But then, he made the call.

Reinkemeier held {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts} against Hamilton's {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}.

The board ran out {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} and Hamilton doubled up. She now has about 320,000 while Reinkemeier dropped to 710,000.

No One Budging

None of he remaining nine players want to budge. The shorter stacks are hanging on to their chips tightly and the big stacks aren't bothering to mess with one another. It could be a while until we lose one more player and call it a night.

Another Double Up for Reynolds

Action folded to the small blind where William Reynolds sat. Reynolds moved all in for 161,000. Michiel Brummelhuis called out of the big blind. The blind-versus-blind battle resulted in {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} against {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}.

Brummelhuis held the tens and Reynolds the two overcards.

The flop didn't have much for Reynolds when the {K-Hearts} {5-Spades} {4-Diamonds} fell. The turn card was the {3-Spades} which added a some help in the form of a straight draw for Reynolds. With some added outs going to the river, Reynolds hoped for the best.

The river card delivered a beautiful lady for Reynolds to behold... the {Q-Clubs}. He doubled up to 332,000 chips while Brummelhuis dropped back to 900,000.

Alex Brenes Eliminated in 10th Place ($56,595)

Alex Brenes - 10th Place
From the small blind, Tobias Reinkemeier raised to 32,000. Alex Brenes was in the big blind and reraised all in for 158,000 total. Reinkemeier made the call after verifying the count.

Reinkemeier: {A-Diamonds} {9-Spades}
Brenes: {K-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}

The flop came down {A-Spades} {9-Clubs} {6-Spades}, giving Reinkemeier two pair. The turn card was the {9-Hearts} and filled up Reinkemeier, leaving Brenes drawing dead, Brenes hit a full house of his own on the river when the {6-Diamonds} landed, but it wasn't enough to stay alive. He was sent to the rail in 10th place, earning over $56,000. Reinkemeier moved up to 835,000.

The remaining nine players are forming one table for the "unofficial" final table. We'll grab the seat draw in one sec.

Joe Cada - 11th Place
Joe Cada - 11th Place
From the button, one of the two women in the field, Sandra Naujoks, raised to 22,000. Joe Cada shipped it in for about 260,000 from the big blind and Naujoks made the call.

Naujoks held a dominating position with her {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts} against Cada's {A-Spades} {8-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {3-Clubs} and Cada was sent packing in 11th place. Not a bad way to kick off 2010 for the reigning WSOP Main Event champion.

Naujoks moved up to second place with 650,000 chips and we're not just two spots away from the final table.
