Boeken Paid Off with Flush

Noah Boeken opened the action with a raise to 2,400 from middle position. The player on the button made the call.

"How much do you have?" asked Boeken, peering over at his opponent's stack as the two went to a flop.

The flop was dealt {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} {2-Spades}. Boeken paused and then fired 3,500. His opponent stuck around by making the call.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Boeken checked. His opponent checked behind a moment later.

The river card completed the board with the {A-Spades}. Boeken fired out 11,000. His opponent made the call and watched at Boeken turned over the nut flush -- {K-Spades} {9-Spades}. The button mucked and Boeken cruised to 94,000 chips.

Grospellier Gets it in Good

A middle-position player came in raising to 3,000, and Bertrand "ElkY" moved all in for 13,300. The table folded back around, and the raiser called to put the Team PokerStars Pro at risk.

Showdown
ElkY: {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}

The table frowned in unison as ElkY was in good shape to double back into contention. The board came down {9-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs}, holding the pocket jacks and notching that dangerous double for Grospellier.

The Matador Wins One

On a flop of {K-Clubs} {4-Spades} {2-Hearts}, Carlos Mortensen fired 4,200 after one player checked to him. A third player in the hand made the call and then the first player folded.

The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and Mortensen fired the same bet of 4,200. Again, he was called.

After the river card came the {A-Spades}, Mortensen and his opponent checked. Mortensen's {K-Spades} {J-Spades} was the winning hand and he moved to 120,000 chips.

Lauria Busted

Bob Lauria has been eliminated. He check-raise-shoved a flop of {7-?} {7-?} {4-?} holding pocket fives, but his opponent held two jacks. Lauria failed to improve from there and was sent to the rail.

Brown Out-kicks Opponent

After a player opened with a raise to 2,500, Chad Brown called in position. The two players took a heads-up flop of {10-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}. The first player checked to Brown and he fired 3,000. His opponent made the call, bringing the two players to a turn of the {A-Clubs}. Both players checked and the river came the {8-Hearts}. Both players checked again and Brown won the pot with {K-Spades} {10-Clubs}, besting his opponent's {J-Hearts} {10-Spades}.

Brown is now on 60,000.

He'll Be Mizzed

A player in middle position opened with a raise to 2,300, and Sorel Mizzi moved all in from the button. His opponent had him slightly covered with about 20,000 total chips, and he eventually made the call to put "Imper1um" at risk.

Showdown
Mizzi: {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}

The flop didn't pair Mizzi, but it did give him four more outs as it fell {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {K-Spades}. The {5-Spades} on the turn was a rag, though, and the {3-Spades} that rivered did nothing to improve Sorel either. Unable to get over the hump, Mizzi's day is done.

Vengrin's Kings Hold

Matt Vengrin raised to 3,000 and an opponent reraised to 8,000. Vengrin then made it 21,000 and his opponent went all in. Vengrin made the call with pocket kings while his opponent held a dominated {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}.

Vengrin's kings help up, despite the other player picking up some outs after flopping a gutshot straight draw. He's now up to 128,000.
