Walid Bou-Habib Eliminated in 16th Place ($100,000)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Walid Bou-Habib - 16th Place
Walid Bou-Habib - 16th Place

Chris Oliver opened to 120,000 from middle position and received calls from both Walid Bou-Habib in the small blind and Dmitriy Stelmak in the big blind.

The flop fell {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and both blinds checked to Oliver who continued for 200,000. Only Bou-Habib called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Bou-Habib checked to Oliver who again bet - this time the amount was 400,000. Bou-Habib check-raised all in for 1.2 million and Oliver called.

Oliver: {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Bou-Habib: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Bou-Habib needed the board to pair, but it did not when the {q-Diamonds} rivered and he was eliminated in 16th place.

Oliver continues to steamroll and is now up to a ridiculous 8.6 million chips.

Pesek Fades and Doubles

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Pesek was first up from the under-the-gun position. He raised to 120,000. Anton Ionel called from the small blind and Dmitriy Stelmak called from the big blind.

The three players saw the flop come down {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and action checked to Pesek. He bet out 130,000. Ionel check-raised to 285,000 and Stelmak folded. Pesek reraised all in for 1.38 million more and Ionel called.

Ionel: {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Pesek: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

Pesek would need to fade Ionel's flush draw and one overcard in order to double up. The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and the river the {2-Clubs}. Both were black, but not spades. Pesek doubled and is up to about 3.3 million. Ionel dropped back to two million.

Plouffe Doubles Through Mathis

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Martin Mathis opened to 125,000 from the cutoff and the action folded to Philippe Plouffe who moved all in for 1.01 million from the small blind. Mathis made the call.

Mathis: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Plouffe: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop gave Plouffe a stranglehold on the hand and only running straight cards would eliminate him. The {k-Spades} on the turn gave Mathis a pair of kings and the {k-Clubs} on the river gave him trips, but they were no good against Plouffe's full house.

Plouffe doubled to 2.1 million chips while Mathis dropped to 1.3 million.
