St. Hilaire Eliminates Two, Burkholder Almsot Follows

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We recently witnessed a three-way, all-in pot involving James St. Hilaire, Eric Buchman, and Thomas Finneran. St. Hilaire had the other two players covered and the cards were turned up:

Finneran: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Buchman: {A-Spades}{Q-}
St. Hilaire: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

Finneran was in the lead but had to dodge a lot of over cards, which he did on the {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} flop. The {10-Clubs} on the turn gave Buchman and St. Hilaire a plethora of outs to make a straight, and it was the {9-Clubs} on the river that gave St. Hilaire the aforementioned hand. Buchman and Finneran were both eliminated on the hand while St. Hilaire stacked his newly won chips.

The very next hand, Steven Burkholder moved all in from the cutoff with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and was called by the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} St. Hilaire, who was still stacking chips from the previous hand. The {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop was no help to Burkholder while the {8-Spades} on the turn provided some chop outs. Luckily for Burkholder, the river was the {7-Diamonds} and it was indeed a chop.
