Van Til Wheels One In

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

Johannes Van Til checked to Nick Binger with the board reading {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Binger bet 1,500. Van Til check-raised to around 4,500 and Binger called.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Van Til led for 8,100. Binger stared at him for a moment before calling and Van Til opened {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the wheel. Binger flashed {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and then mucked.

Waxman Stumbles

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

Andrew Chen led for 1,500 from the small blind with the board reading {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Matt Waxman raised to 3,500 from the big blind and Chen called.

Both players checked the {q-Spades} on the turn and after the {j-Diamonds} rivered Chen led for 5,500. Waxman tank-called then mucked when Chen rolled over {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for a full house.

Waxman dropped to 13,100 chips while Chen is well above 40,000.

Madsen Finds His Spot, Doubles

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

In a raised pot preflop, Jeff Madsen and Brandon Adams were heads up with the board reading {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Madsen led for 1,375, Adams raised to 10,000 and Madsen snap-called all in for effectively 9,500.

Madsen: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Adams {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The turn brought the {6-Clubs} and now any ten, six or ace would give Adams the winning hand and eliminate Madsen. The {q-Clubs} on the river was a brick however, and Madsen doubled to 19,000 chips.

Adams dropped to 20,000.

Madsen Dwindling

Level 2 : 150/300, 25 ante

With 7,000 in the pot and a board reading {7-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, the under-the-gun Andrew Chen grabbed a stack of chips, worth 20,000, and put them in the pot. Jeff Madsen only had 10,575 behind and was put to the test. Madsen concluded that there would be a better spot and saved the rest of his stack with a fold.

Deeb Moves All In

Level 2 : 150/300, 25 ante

Shaun Deeb raised to 2,000 on the button only to have Alex Wice reraise to 4,400. Faraz Jaka was next to act in the big blind and four-bet to 8,000. Deeb responded by moving all in for 33,150 total. Wice released and just as quickly Jaka folded behind.

"I thought you were light," Deeb said with a smile as he showed {K-Spades}. Deeb added more than 13,000 to his stack, bringing him up to over 46,000.

Deeb Busts Lewis

Level 2 : 150/300, 25 ante
Toby Lewis - eliminated
Toby Lewis - eliminated

With the board reading {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, Toby Lewis checked to Shaun Deeb who bet 2,225. Lewis moved all in and Deeb made the call.

Deeb: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Lewis: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {2-Hearts} on the turn took away some of Deeb's outs, but the {10-Spades} on the river was good enough for trips and the knockout.

Lewis hit the rail while Deeb's increased well above 30,000 chips.

Cairns Eliminated by Wice

Level 2 : 150/300, 25 ante
David Cairns
David Cairns

Over at the feature table, David Cairns was all in preflop for his last 22,000 with the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and called by the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} of Alex Wice. Cairns was in bad shape and need some help. The {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop did not provide it and neither did the {A-Spades} turn. In order to survive, Cairns needed a jack on the river. The cameras zoomed in close to see the {K-Spades} revealed on the turn. Cairns became the first person eliminated in Round 2.

"Back to the Drawing Board"

Level 2 : 150/300, 25 ante
Brandon Adams doubles
Brandon Adams doubles

Brandon Adams was down to his last 7,250 and got it in preflop against Matt Waxman in a race situation.

Adams: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Waxman: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The {5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop was very kind to Adams, giving him a redraw should he need it on the river. The {5-Clubs} on the turn simply paired the board however, and just for kicks and giggles the {6-Clubs} on the river gave Adams a full house.

Adams doubled to 14,650 while Waxman slipped down to 24,000.

"Back to the drawing board," Waxman professed.
