Team PokerStars Pro has just lost another member and this time it was Noah Boeken falling prey.
Action folded to the player on the button and he raised to 12,000. Boeken reraised to 29,000 from the big blind and then the button moved all in. Boeken quickly called for approximately 150,000 with . His opponent held two sevens.
Vladimir Faubert only had 31,500 chips left when he shoved from the button. In the big blind, Harrison Gimbel peeked down at and made the call for a significant chunk of his own stack, and Faubert was at risk.
The shorty never got there on the , and Gimbel collects the knockout pot to move back over the century mark in chips.
Sergio Garcia was down to 119,500 chips when he got his money in on a coin flip with . The recent doubler-up Chris Klodnicki was up for action, and his was looking for the knockout.
Garcia's pair held fast, though, and the board has doubled him back above the chip average. He's close to 350,000 now, while Klodnicki has been parted with his recent profits and then some.
In early position, Casey Kastle made it 12,500 to go, and Ruben Visser flatted in the hijack seat. From the big blind, Bolivar Palacios squeezed his last ~100,000 into the middle. Kastle re-shoved to isolate, and Visser ducked out of the way to let Palacios go heads up for his tournament life.
Showdown
Kastle:
Palacios:
Palacios was in good shape, but his big lead was short-lived. The flop put him in a hole he could not crawl out of, and the turn and river has sent him off to the beach with a little profit in his pockets.
We just lost the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event champion. Harrison Gimbel, who won $2.2 million for winning this event two years ago, was just sent packing by David Assouline.
A player raised to 10,000 and Assouline reraised to 27,000 from the button before Gimbel moved all in for 130,000 from the big blind. The original raiser folded and Assouline called.
Assouline:
Gimbel:
The board ran out and both players made full houses. Unfortunately for Gimbel, his was worse than Assouline's and he was eliminated.
