Volpe Calls Despite Spades

We found Paul Volpe and Brian Altman looking down at a board that read {K-Spades}{4-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Volpe checked to Altman and he also decided to check his option.

Fifth street brought a fourth spade- the {8-Spades} - and Volpe checked once more. Altman reached into his stack and came out with a bet of 10,200 into the pot of about 11,000.

Volpe tossed out a call after about thirty seconds and saw Altman table {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for merely a pair of fives. Volpe showed {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} for top two pair and was able to drag in the pot.

Bellande Hurting

Jean-Robert Bellande
Jean-Robert Bellande

Picking up the action on a {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} flop, Jean-Robert Bellande check-called 1,400 from Sam Grafton to see the {5-Hearts} turn. Both players checked, landing the {J-Spades} river where Bellande checked for a third time. Grafton bet 5,500 and after a few moments, Bellande called.

Grafton tabled {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for Broadway to take down the pot.
