Micka Doubles Through Charania

The player under the gun plus one opened to 18,000 and Mohsin Charania flat called from the next seat over. Joel Micka was next to act. He peered at his cards and announced all in for 122,000 total. Michael Lipman was in the next seat and he stood up from the table. He tanked for a long time before making what looked to the table to be a painful fold.

When Lipman shot his cards to the muck, the {8-Clubs} was exposed.

"Well," chimed in someone from the other end of the table. "Now we all know what he had."

Action folded all of the way back around to Charania and he called.

Charania: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}
Micka: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board came {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Micka's set of nines were the best hand. His double up was able to get his stack up to around 270,000.

Joe Serock

Anthony Borde opened to 16,000 from under the gun, Marcello Miniucchi called in the small blind, and Joe Serock defended from the big blind.

The dealer fanned {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and the action checked to Borde, who continued for 22,000. Only Serock called.

The turn was the {4-Spades}, both players checked, and the {a-Hearts} completed the board. Serock checked a third time, and Borde tossed out 40,000. Serock tanked for a minute or so, check-raised to 135,000, and Borde folded.

Clements Takes From Waxman

Picking up the action on a {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{5-Spades} board, Matt Waxman was in the tank for about four minutes after Scott Clements bet 84,000. Eventually Waxman called, but mucked when Clements tabled {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a straight.
