Bubble Bursts as Mizrachi Eliminates Santos and Froshaug

On the third hand of hand-for-hand play, action folded to severe short stack Joao Santos in the cutoff seat. With just 11,500 in chips, he moved all in. Next to act was Robert Mizrachi, and he reraised to 25,000. Vegard Froshaug was in the small blind and began to tank. After a couple of minutes of thought, Froshaug announced that he was all in, a shove worth 71,000. Following a fold from the big blind, Mizrachi snapped it off.

The three players were instructed to keep their cards face down while all other tables completed action. There happened to be another all-in hand at a table on the other side of the tournament floor, but Ashley Cheung doubled up and stayed alive. After that hand wrapped up, it was time for this three-way all in to move forward.

Mizrachi quickly tabled the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} to have a stranglehold on the hand against Froshaug's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and Santos' {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Things would get interesting, though, as you will see.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and Santos picked up a royal flush draw. The turn was black, but it was the {2-Clubs} and kept Mizrachi in front. Now with one more card to come, Mizrachi just needed to fade and he'd knock out two players to burst the bubble.

The river completed the board with the {K-Hearts}, and that made things official. Mizrachi won the pot and eliminated both of his opponents. With that, all remaining 144 players found themselves in the money and a round of applause was in order.

Now, let's watch the line at the payout desk grow.

Reilly Min-Cashes

Tim Reilly was all in and at risk against Henry Strasser, and as the table waited for confirmation to run the hand, Reilly said that he was feeling lucky.

The dealer was eventually told to proceed, and the players tabled their cards.

Reilly: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Strasser: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

"It's OK," Reilly said smiling. "We're going to get there."

The {8-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Spades} flop gave Reilly four extra outs to make a straight, but the turn and river bricked {9-Spades}, {j-Clubs} respectively. Reilly was eliminated, while Strasser is up to 85,000 chips.

PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo Exits With A Min-Cash

Fatima Moreira de Melo
Fatima Moreira de Melo

PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo was grinding a short stack on he bubble, and after it burst she opted to shove her last 26,000 under the gun with {K-Spades}{8-Spades}. One by one her opponents folded all the way around to Patrick Kelly in the big blind and he snap-called with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

Things looked good for de Melo at first as the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop contained a king, but unfortunately for her it was followed by a queen to give Kelly a set. The {J-Clubs} turn gave de Melo some chop options, but the {4-Clubs} river failed to complete them. A gracious de Melo wished her fellow players good luck and then took her leave from the 2013 PCA Main Event.

Stout Doubles Through Kramer In Biggest Pot of the Tournament Thus Far

A series of raises between Matt Stout and [Removed:172] led to Stout all in and at risk for 341,500 with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

Stout informed us of the details. Following Kramer's opening min-raise to 8,000, Stout three-bet to 21,000 from the next seat. When action folded back to Kramer, he four-bet to 47,000. Stout five-bet to 83,000 and then called Kramer's five-bet jam for 341,500 effective.

Kramer looked to get near a seven-figure stack with {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, but shipped more than half of his stack Stout's way when the board ran out {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

Small One for Crowe

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Owen Crowe opened to 9,000 from under the gun, and the action folded all the way to Eugene Katchalov in the big blind, who called.

The flop fell {2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, and Katchalov led out for 12,000. Crowe called.

The turn was the {k-Spades}, both players checked, and the river was the {j-Spades}. The two knuckled again.

Katchalov flashed an unknown card to Crowe, who tabled {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Katchalov mucked, and Crowe picked up the pot.
