Cowling Culled

Action folded around to Michael Malm in the small blind and he moved all in to put the pressure on David Cowling in the big blind. The latter looked down at {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and quickly called off for 395,000. Malm then showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and was looking to dodge big cards.

The {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop was no help to Cowling, but the {8-Diamonds} turn did provide him with some counterfeit options. Unfortunately for him, the {J-Diamonds} river was not what he needed and he watched his stack pushed over to Malm before making his way to the payout desk.

Great Eights

Andrey Shatilov and Maxim Panyak were heads up on a flop of {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Shatilov checked out of the big blind, Panyak tossed out 28,000, and Shatilov check-raised to 72,000. Panyak called.

The turn was the {10-Spades}, Shatilov led out for what looked like 125,000, and Panyak quickly called. The {2-Hearts} completed the board, and both players checked. Shatilov showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for king-high, which Panyak had beat with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a pair of eights.

Loeser Becomes a Winner

From under the gun, Robert Mizrachi raised to 25,000. Eddy Sabat made the call in middle position, and then Manig Loeser called from the hijack seat. After all others got out of the way, Shaun "The Dealer" Harris put out the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop.

On the flop, Mizrachi fired 36,000, Sabat folded, and Loeser called. Then, the {10-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Mizrachi slowed down with a check, and Loeser took this opportunity to fire 68,000. Mizrachi wasted little time in making the call.

The {7-Diamonds} landed on the river, and Mizrachi checked. After taking some time and also checking his holecards once again, Loeser fired all in for 359,000. Mizrachi tanked for a couple of minutes, giving Loeser the look-over. Eventually, he called.

Loeser tabled the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} for the Broadway straight, and Mizrachi mucked his hand.

Malm Earns a Fair Double Up

Action began on Ryan Fair who opened to 27,000 from the cutoff. The button folded and Michal Malm announced that he was all in for 238,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Fair announced a call.

Fair: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Malm: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

The flop was {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Malm's deuces were still in the lead.

"Not a bad flop," remarked Fair.

Fourth street brought the {K-Spades}, giving Fair even more outs for the win. Ultimately, the pot was pushed to Malm though, as the {6-Spades} rivered and the deuces held up. Malm now has about 500,000 to Fair's 1.09 million.

Clyde-Smith Folds To Crowe

Action folded to Owen Crowe in the cutoff seat, and he raised to 26,000. Next to act was George Clyde-Smith on the button, and he called. Everyone else folded.

The dealer rolled out the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, and Crowe fired 28,000. Clyde-Smith called.

The turn was the {Q-Spades}, and both players checked to see the {10-Spades} land on the river. Crowe fired 26,000, and Clyde-Smith folded.

Malm Maimed By Elias

Darren Elias has had a rough time here on Day 4, but he just got a boost when he doubled through Michael Malm.

We picked up the action with around 160,000 in the pot on a board reading {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs} after Malm had checked and Elias bet 66,000. Malm responded by moving all in and Elias couldn't call off his stack of 308,000 fast enough.

Elias: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Malm: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Malm's face said it all when he saw Elias held the nuts. The former needed an eight on the river just to chop, but it wasn't in the cards as the {10-Spades} blanked. With that, Elias is back in the game.
