Bussman Bests Boeree

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Adrian Bussman led out for 16,000 on a board of {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree made the call.

A repeat seven - the {7-Diamonds} - completed the board, and Bussman led out again. This time the wager was 36,000, and it was also too rich for Boeree, who folded.

Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

Vanessa Selbst opened to 12,000 from the cutoff, Jennifer Shahade three-bet to 28,000 on the button, and both blinds released. Selbst made the call, then checked when the dealer fanned {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}. Shahade continued for 31,000, the Team PokerStars Pro call, and the turn brought the {2-Diamonds}.

Both players checked.

The river was the {j-Diamonds}, Selbst led out for 84,000, and Shahade folded.

Andrei Konopelko, Jennifer Shahade, and Kyle Sorel took a flop of {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Sorel checked, Shahade bet 20,000, and both Konopelko and Sorel called.

Konopelko: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Shahade: {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Konopelko grimaced at the sight of Shahade's hand, and the {j-Clubs} bricked off on the river. Shahade doubled to 1.05 million chips, while Konopelko fell to 147,000.

Max Greenwood Doubles Through Rudi Johnsen

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Max Greenwood was all in and at risk before the flop for his last 78,000 against Rudi Johnsen. Greenwood held {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and was looking for help against Johnsen's {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

The {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop gave Greenwood four to a flush and hope to stay alive in the tournament. Fourth street was the {A-Spades}, pairing Greenwoods ace and vaulting him into the lead. The two watched as the {Q-Clubs} rolled off on the river, ensuring that Greenwood would stay alive.

He's now sitting on 165,000 in chips while Johnsen has fallen to 220,000.

Broadway Blues

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Matt Stout
Matt Stout

During one of the first hands of Level 18, Erik Olofsson was all in and at risk for 121,000 holding {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. He was racing against Matt Stout, who held {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and the {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop gave him a set of queens.

The {7-Diamonds} on the turn was a big red brick, leaving Olofsson one card away from elimination, but the {10-Clubs} slammed on the river to give him Broadway.

Stout shot back in his chair as if he'd received an electric shock, but collected himself quickly and sent a tower of blue T5,000 chips to his neighbor.
