Juanda Doubles Through Bonomo

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

John Juanda bet 37,000 on the {J-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Spades} board into Justin Bonomo. Bonomo made the call, and the {3-Hearts} landed on the river. Juanda moved all in for 147,000, and Bonomo called.

Juanda showed the {Q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flush, and that beat Bonomo's {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. He doubled up to approximately 400,000, while Bonomo was left with 280,000.

Gruissem Ships Against Kurganov

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Picking up with the action on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Igor Kurganov checked over to Philipp Gruissem who fired out a bet of 56,000. Kurganov called which allowed the {3-Clubs} to hit the felt on fourth street. Kurganov checked for a second time and this time Gruissem followed suit.

The {6-Diamonds} finished the board on fifth street and Kurganov rapped the table once more. Gruissem announced an all in bet of 225,000 which sent Kurganov into the tank. Over three minutes passed while Kurganov pondered his action. Eventually, he decided to let go of his cards and Gruissem picked up the pot. The German now has 483,000 in chips.

Antonio Esfandiari

From the cutoff seat, Antonio Esfandiari raised to 26,000. Justin Bonomo called on the button, and the flop came down {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Esfandiari fired a continuation bet of 32,000, and Bonomo raised all in for roughly 210,000. Esfandiari folded, and Bonomo picked up the pot.

On the next hand, Esfandiari opened with a raise to 26,000, this time from the hijack seat. Ole Schemion reraised to 75,000 from the button, and action folded back to Esfandiari. He took a few moments, then folded, and Schemion won the pot.

Mizzi Busts Before Break

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Before the break, Mike McDonald opened to 25,000 from late position, Sorel Mizzi moved all in for around 200,000, and the action folded back to McDonald, who called.

McDonald: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Mizzi: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Max Altergott told Mizzi that he folded a queen, upsetting the Canadian a bit, and the flop came {5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. McDonald was in great shape to record the knockout with a flopped set of sevens, and the hand was all over when the {j-Diamonds} turned. A meaningless {k-Clubs} completed the board, and Mizzi hit the rail.

McDonald Busts Finger

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Martin Finger raised to 45,000 from the small blind and Mike McDonald called from the big blind. The flop came {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Finger continued out for 55,000. McDonald called and the {7-Hearts} hit the turn. Finger slowed with a check and McDonald took this opportunity to lead for 100,000. Finger moved all in over the top for what looked to be around 450,000 and McDonald snapped him off.

McDonald tabled {J-Spades}{5-Spades} for trip fives which was well ahead of Finger's {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The {K-Clubs} completed the board and McDonald was able to score the elimination. He's now sitting on about 1.23 million.
