Petrangelo Takes From Kuether

The flop was {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Kuether checked to Petrangelo who bet 97,000. Kuether called to see the {Q-Clubs} turn where he check-called 168,000 from Petrangelo, landing the {A-Diamonds} river which both players checked.

Petrangelo tabled {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, Kuether mucked and Petrangelo collected the pot.

The flop fell {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and action checked to Jaka who bet 95,000. Kuether and Garibli called, Heimiller folded and the {10-Spades} landed on the turn. Garibli checked to Jaka who shoved for 588,000. Both Kuether and Garibli gave it some thought, but folded.

Dan Heimiller is a 52-year-old professional poker player who hails from Las Vegas, Nevada. Heimiller's largest claim to fame came in 2014 when he rose to the top of the largest Senior's event in history (4,425 runners) to claim his second bracelet and $627,462 in prize money.

Lee Markholt is a professional poker player from Eatonville, Washington. He has live cashes dating back to 1990, has earned $3,871,915 in live tournament winnings, and holds a WPT title.

Nick Petrangelo is an American poker player from Feeding Hills, MA. Petrangelo has earned over $457,000 in live tournaments and looks to add even more to that number by kicking 2015 off in excellent fashion. Mere days ago, Petrangelo won a PCA side event - $4,850 #9 No Limit Hold'em - Turbo 8 Handed - for over $113,000.

Scott Seiver is an established presence in the poker world, frequently playing the highest buy-in tournaments available. A winner of both a WSOP bracelet and a WPT title, Seiver has amassed over $13,400,000 in live tournament winnings. Seiver's largest score came during the 2013 PCA when he won the $100,000 Super High Roller for just over $2 million.

Joe Kuether, a resident of Elm Grove, Wisconsin, is a regular presence on the poker circuit. He has over $2.6 million in live career earnings to his name with titles including a WSOP Circuit Main Event ring.

Faraz Jaka, 29, is an American professional poker player and best known for winning WPT Player of the Year during Season 8. He's earned over $4.3 million in live winnings and looks to eclipse that number with a high finish today.

Ilkin Garibli hails from Azerbaijan. Not much else is known about him, as this is his first recorded live tournament cash .

Garibli Doubles Through Jaka

Picking up with the action on a completed board of {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Faraz Jaka moved all in against Ilkin Garibli. Garibli was in the tank and pondering calling for his tournament life of his remaining 506,000.

A few moments passed before Garibli announced a call. Jaka showed {A-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a pair of aces. Garibli had that beat, however, with {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for two pair of aces and deuces. Garibli scored the double up and now has about 1.6 million, Jaka, on the other hand, has dropped to 395,000.

Savard and Petrangelo Clash

Picking up the action on the turn of a {J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board, Jean-Pascal Savard bet 132,000 from the small blind. Nick Petrangelo called from the cutoff and the {9-Spades} river completed the board. Savard fired 305,000, sending Petrangelo into the tank for about two minutes before he folded.

The following hand, Petrangelo opened to 65,000 from under the gun and Savard called on the button. The flop fell {K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Petrangelo bet 80,000. Savard called to see the {6-Clubs} turn, both checked and the {3-Hearts} river completed the board. Petrangelo bet 283,000 and now it was Savard's turn to tank.

"So weird," commented Savard.

About two minutes passed before Savard opted to lay it down.

Khoroshenin Leads the River

On the button, Faraz Jaka opened to 65,000. Oleksii Khoroshenin made the call out of the big blind, and the two players took the {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. Khoroshenin checked, Jaka bet 53,000, and Khoroshenin called.

Fourth street was the {10-Hearts}, and both players checked to see the {Q-Diamonds} land on the river. Khoroshenin led with a bet of 77,000, and Jaka folded.

From under the gun, Ilkin Garibli opened to 65,000. Faraz Jaka called from the big blind, and the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Both checked, and the turn was the {7-Diamonds}. Both checked again, and the river was the {Q-Diamonds}. Once again, both Jaka and Garibli checked.

Jaka rolled over the {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and Garibli mucked his hand.
