Carter Swidler Eliminated

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Carter Swidler
Carter Swidler

Uwe Ritter opened for 42,000 from late position and Carter Swidler moved all in from the small blind for just a little more than 300,000 total. Ritter took about 20 seconds and then made the call. Swidler turned over {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Ritter sat there, not doing anything, and after about ten seconds he would turn over {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

"Are you kidding me?" said a peeved Swidler in reference to the slow roll from Ritter.

The dealer put out a flop of {K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} giving Ritter a stranglehold on the hand. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the river was the {3-Clubs}. Swidler, still upset and now eliminated from the tournament, said to Ritter "took you that long?"

Ritter, oblivious, pumped his fists, as he moved to 800,000 in chips.

Roca Doubles Through Boukai

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Mayu Roca pushed (almost) all in for 116,000, keeping behind one blue T5,000 chip to protect his cards. Rami Boukai tossed in enough to put Roca all in after action folded to his big blind and flipped {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Since Roca wasn't actually all in, the floor was called and the move was ruled to be a call, and the two got the last 5,000 in on the {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop.

Roca: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Boukai: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Boukai had picked up a straight draw, but unfortunately for him Roca had a better draw and better hand. The {8-Spades} and {5-Diamonds} hit the board to give Roca a flush and the double.

Collopy Takes Four-Way Showdown

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Four player saw the turn make the board {8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} after everyone checked the flop. Uwe Ritter checked, Mayu Roca bet 78,000 in the big blind, and Jim Collopy, Maurice Hawkins, and Ritter all called. On the {6-Hearts} river, everyone checked.

Ritter missed a flush draw with {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Roca had a pair of tens and a missed straight draw with {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and Collopy showed {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Hawkins mucked, and Collopy took down the hefty pot.

Schwartz Doubles Through Etcheverry

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Noah Schwartz (Day 3)
Noah Schwartz (Day 3)

Juan Etcheverry opened for 35,000 and Noah Schwartz moved all in for 336,000 total. Etcheverry made the call and the two players revealed their hands:

Schwartz: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}
Etcheverry: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The first card in the window on the flop was the {9-Clubs} and a look of disdain came over Schwartz's face. That look would vanish quickly though as the dealer spread out a flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Etcheverry chewed on his apple as if it was no big deal and would pay off Schwartz after the turn and river came {4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Schwartz moved to 725,000 with that double up.
