Sointula Gets Max Value with Aces

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Ankush Mandavia just raised to 700 and Tamer Kamel called on the button after which Jani Sointula made it 3,000 from the small blind. Both Mandavia and Sointula called, creating three way action on the flop.

The flop brought out {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Spades} and Sointula bet 4,000, which was only called by Kamel.

On the turn the {3-Spades} hit and Sointula kept firing, putting out 9,000 and Kamel called again.

The river completed the board with the {K-Clubs} and Sointula moved all in for 31,900. Kamel went into the tank for quite some time before eventually making the call.

The Finnish player showed {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} and Kamel quietly mucked his cards, leaving himself with just 1,200 chips.

"Yeah, I Don't Beat That"

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Emil Patel raised to 900 under the gun and picked up callers in Isaac Haxton and [Removed:17], who were in the cutoff and small blind respectively. The {9-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Spades} flop saw Haxton bet 1,600 after both his opponents checked, and only Patel called to see the {7-Diamonds} turn.

Both players checked, and then did the same on the {J-Spades} river. Patel showed an ace-high flush with the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

"Yeah, I don't beat that," Haxton admitted and mucked his hand.

Despite losing in that pot, both Yan and Haxton are up since the last time we checked in on them.

The Bad Beat of Bad Beats for Schwartz

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

In a blind battle we picked up the action with the flop showing {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds} when Noah Schwartz bet 11,700 from the small blind. Ole Schemion, in the big blind, made the call and on the turn the {8-Hearts} hit.

Schwartz paused before moving all in on the turn, and Schemion called right away to risk his whole stack.

Schemion: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Schwartz: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The river was the {K-Hearts}, giving Schemion a winning set of kings, and Schwartz jumped out of his chair in disgust. Schwartz paced around for a bit before Jeff Rossiter called him over, as he had 11,000 chips left to play with.

Schwartz took a big hit and Schemion's off to a good start here on Day 1 of the High Roller.
