Kelly Takes One From Downling

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Five players saw the flop of {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and only Patrick Kelly and Bartley Downling were the only two to see the turn.

Kelly bet 1,200 and Downling raised to 2,400. Kelly called and the two players were heads up to the turn of {j-Spades}. Kelly checked and Downling bet 3,000. Kelly called.

Both players checked the {5-Clubs} on the river.

"Two nines," said Downling as he flipped over {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

Greenwood Put to the Test

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Three players were looking at a board reading {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and Antonio D'Della Sciucca bet 1,475. Another player called before Sam Greenwood raised, making it 7,000.

D'Della Sciucca thought for a moment, and then decided to reraise. He made it 22,000. Greenwood seemed to have a tough decision.

"This is what I get for not paying attention," he said as he shuffled his chips smiling. He eventually folded and D'Della Sciucca took down the pot.

Ball Catches Up to Double

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Scott Ball just doubled up through William Foxen after Foxen put Ball at risk on the turn.

The two players saw the flop of {2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Foxen checked to Ball. Ball bet 2,000 and Foxen check-raised to 6,000. Ball called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Foxen led out for 25,000, putting Ball at risk if he were to call. Ball took a few moments before eventually calling. He was behind with pocket eights, {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}, but held the only club between the two players. Foxen showed {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a set. The river hit one of the many outs Ball needed when it came the {q-Clubs}, giving him a club flush and doubling him up. Foxen was left with a little less than the starting stack.
