His quest included a heads-up battle with World Series of Poker Main Event champion Joe McKeehen, who placed second for $1,220,480.

Just before the break, Ezra Abu-Gazal opened for 2,400 and received a call from Danut Chisu in the cutoff. Peggy Malinowski then three-bet jammed for 10,600 from the small blind, Abu-Gazal moved all in over the top, and Chisu got out of the way.
