Moneymaker Out

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Chris Moneymaker (Day 1a)
Chris Moneymaker (Day 1a)

Thomas Muehloecker put Chris Moneymaker all in on the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board. Moneymaker called with the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, but it was no good against the {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} that Muehloecker held for two pair and Moneymaker was eliminated.

Zinno Wins One Before Break

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Anthony Zinno bet 10,000 from the small blind into a pot of over 30,000 on a completed board of {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. His opponent under the gun thought only briefly before calling, but he couldn't beat Zinno's {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a straight.

Mukul Sandwich

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Mukul Pahuja
Mukul Pahuja

Mukul Pahuja just got paid off on the river shortly before the break. The board read {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and his opponent had placed a bet.

Pahuja raised to 21200 and his opponent seemed to agonize over calling. He called and then definitely felt some agony as he turned over {j-}{j-} showing he had a set, but Pahuja had rivered a straight with {q-}{10-}.

Straight for Rabah

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With about 13,000 in the middle on the {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{K-Spades} board, Carlos Mora Alvarez fired 5,100. His opponent, Fabian Chauriye Rabah, raised to 19,800. Alvarez tanked for a bit, then called, but could only muck when he saw the {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} that Rabah turned over for a straight.

Esfandiari Doing His Best To Stay Seated

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Antonio Esfandiari is seated with a hand-written note sitting on the rail in front of him. The sign says LUNGE ONlY, a reminder that when he gets up, he has to lunge wherever he goes next.

He made a bet with Bill Perkins that for the next 48 hours, he would only lunge instead of walking. So far he has been lucky, his table hasn't broken and he has stayed around double the starting stack.

On this hand he picked up some chips when he raised on the button to 2,000 and got called by both players in the blinds. He c-bet the flop of {10-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades} for 6,000 and his opponents folded.
