Heron Finds a Way Up

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Steven Barrie Heron just doubled up twice, after which he won two more pots, putting him right back into the thick of things with a stack of around 155,000.

First Heron was all in with {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and dominated by Felipe Ramos' {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The board however gave Heron quads as {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} popped up.

On the very next hand Heron was at risk for 58,000 chips and up against Todd Sisley in the following showdown.

Heron: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Sisley: {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Heron doubled up. The next two hands were won by Heron as well, and he's now sitting on about 180,000 chips.

Chidwick's Four Bet Takes it Down

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Stephen Chidwick and Renaud Desferet just played a big pot, which Chidwick won preflop.

Desferet opened the action under the gun with a raise to 11,500. Chidwick made it 30,000 from the button. Desferet took a few moments before four betting to 58,000.

Chidwick weighed his options, but kept his standard pose with both arms bent and both hands on his hole cards. Eventually he broke his pose long enough to five bet to 95,000. Desferet took a few moments to make his decision and eventually folded.
