Demlakian Cruising, Barnes Doubles Through Nguyen, Cantos Out

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

It was an eventful few hands at Vasken Demlakian's table. He knocked out Jorge Cantos and took a big chunk of Allan Barnes' stack.
Barnes bounced back with a double up through Binh Nguyen shortly after.

On the first hand, Demlakian, Barnes and Ami Barer saw a {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. Barer checked and Demlakian bet 38,000. Barnes called and Barer folded.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Demlakian checked to Barnes. Barnes bet 120,000, leaving himself with about 180,000 behind. Demlakian hesitated for a moment and then shoved all in. Barnes snap folded and Demlakian took down the pot.

On the next hand, David Eldridge opened the action to 21,000, Demlakian called and Jorge Cantos shoved all in for 99,000. Eldridge folded and Demlakian called.

Cantos was ahead with {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, but Demlakian would win the pot with {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts} when the board ran out {4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Spades} and Cantos was eliminated.

A few hands later, Barnes shoved all in for his remaining 175,000 and Nguyen called with {k-}{q-}. Barnes had {8-}{8-}. The board ran out {10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Barnes doubled up.

Four Way Pot, Winzeler Considers a Shove

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Fabian Chauriye Rabah opened the action with a raise under the gun to 24,000. Three players called and the action folded to Hans Winzeler.

Winzeler was sitting with just 60,000 and held his hand for a moment and seemed to consider making a move, but elected not to, he folded and the dealer put out the {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop. The action checked to Farid Jattin who bet 35,000. Renaud Desferet reraised 95,000 and that was enough to take it down.

Wan Time

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Kevin Wan just doubled up to bounce back to 200,000 against PokerStars Pro Felipe Ramos.

They were all in preflop and Wan had {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} against the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} of Ramos. The board ran out {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Wan began heading to the rail, until the {3-Diamonds} hit the river keeping him in the tournament.

"He was already half way to the water slide," a player said jokingly when he immediately sat back down after his rivered win.

Demlakian Doubles Through Eldridge

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ami Barer raised to 20,000 from early position, David Eldridge three-bet to 53,000 from the cutoff seat, Vasken Demlakian cold called from the button, and then Barer also called.

The flop was {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, and Barer checked. Eldridge checked as well, then Demlakian fired in a bet of 112,000. Barer folded, and Eldridge check-raised all in to put Demlakian at risk. Demlakian called with the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and was at risk for 309,000 total on the flop. Eldridge had the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

Eldridge picked up a straight draw with the {5-Clubs} turn card, but the {2-Hearts} on the river did not give him the knockout. Demlakian won the pot and doubled to 800,000 in chips.
