Watson Calls Two Big Ones

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Rocco bet 40,000 from the big blind on a {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} board against button Mike Watson, who called. Rocco bet another 125,000 on the {6-Spades} river, and Watson thought only briefly before calling.

Rocco showed {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} but his kicker didn't play, while Watson's {a-Spades} with his {8-Clubs} did.

Ortiz Gets More from the Chip Leader

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Fabian Ortiz doubled earlier off chip leader Leonardo Pires, and on this hand he won even more chips from him.

The board read {6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Ortiz had bet 180,000. Pires called quickly and mucked when he saw Ortiz had made a flush with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Lewis Doubles Through Tedeschi

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Toby Lewis
Toby Lewis

Toby Lewis just doubled up through Paul Tedeschi after the two players got all in preflop.

Tedeschi opened the action by raising to 26,000 from the button. Lewis was in the small blind and reraised to 75,000. Fedor Holz folded the big blind and it was Tedeschi's turn to act again.

He tanked for a few moments and then got all in with {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Lewis had {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and doubled up when the board ran out {5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

Crawford Out

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After falling short, Brandon Crawford was all in for his last 14,000 from under the gun. Play folded over to Tony Gregg in the cutoff seat, and he raised to 35,000. Timothy Ulmer called from the small blind, and the flop came out {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Action was checked by Ulmer and Gregg, then the {10-Clubs} came on the turn. Ulmer led with a bet of 60,000, and Gregg folded.

That left Crawford at risk with the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} against the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for Ulmer.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} to give Ulmer a flush and send Crawford to the rail.

Post-Break Action

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Shortly after the break, PokerStars Pro Felipe Ramos was eliminated from the tournament and based on how things have been going for Leonardo Pires, Fabian Ortiz probably thought he was on the way out the door as well. Ortiz got all in against Pires.

Ortiz had {a-Spades}{10-Spades} and Pires had {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. The board finished {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Ortiz would double up.
