High Fives for Scott Seiver

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Scott Seiver, who won this event back in 2013, raised under the gun to what looked like 4,000. Action folded to Stefan Schillhabel in the big blind and he pushed back with a three-bet to 11,500.

Seiver called and then called a bet of 11,500 from Schillhabel on the {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop.

The duo then checked the {2-Clubs} turn as well as the {4-Diamonds} river.

Schillhabel flashed {a-}{q-} and then watched the pot pushed to Seiver, who held the winner with the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Shak Hates the River Card

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With 30,000 in the middle and a board reading {q-Clubs}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Dan Shak checked from the cutoff and Justin Bonomo bet 12,000 from the button.

Shak woke up with a check-raise to 35,000, Bonomo called, and the {J-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Shak bet 60,000 and Bonomo wasted little time in making the call.

Shak showed the {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for the turned straight, but Bonomo caught up on the river with his {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for the same straight.

Chop it up!

Tollerene Versus Adams

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ben Tollerene opened under the gun for 4,000 and Timothy Adams in the small blind and Jason Koon in the big blind both called.

The three of them checked on {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{A-Spades} and the {3-Clubs} hit the turn. Adams bet 4,500 and Koon folded before Tollerene called.

With the {Q-Hearts} completing the board, Adams bet 22,500. Tollerene used the most of his 30 seconds before he folded.

O'Dwyer Keeps Firing

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From the hijack, Rainer Kempe opened for 4,000. His neighbor Steve O'Dwyer in the cutoff, three-bet to 13,500. The button and both blinds folded, Kempe called.

Kempe check-called a bet of 17,000 on the {Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop and check-called another 32,000 on the {Q-Diamonds} turn.

The {8-Clubs} river saw Kempe check again. O'Dwyer bet 89,000 and Kempe went deep into the tank. He used a time bank card and eventually folded. O'Dywer mucked quietly.

Schillhabel Burns Four Time Extensions Before Busting

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With around 100,000 in the pot and a board reading {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, Stefan Schillhabel checked from the small blind and Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen bet 55,000 from the under-the-gun position.

Schillhabel called and then checked the {7-Spades} river. Hunichen responded by moving all in and Schillhabel, who had approximately 120,000 back, hit the tank. He ended up using four time extensions before calling off, and he mucked when Hunichen rolled over the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for trip queens.

Since it was an all-in hand, Schillhabel was obligated to show. He reached back for his cards and showed the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}.

Schillhabel immediately headed for the registration desk and re-entered.

First Break of the Day

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Players have been sent on their first 20-minute break of the day.

Here's a look at some of the bigger stacks after two levels.

Negreanu Eliminated in Flush Over Flush Situation

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Stefan Schillhabel opened for 3,000 under the gun and he got 4 callers with Chris Hunichen (middle position), Sam Greenwood (button), Jean-Noel Thorel (small blind), and Daniel Negreanu (big blind) all wanting to see a flop.

On {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, action checked to Hunichen and he bet 6,500. Greenwood called from the button before Thorel folded. Negreanu check-raised to 20,000 and Schillhabel and Hunichen folded. Greenwood called.

The {Q-Clubs} hit the turn and Negreanu bet 15,000 with about 65,000 behind. Greenwood moved all in to put Negreanu to the test and he called.

Daniel Negreanu: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Sam Greenwood: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {2-Spades} on the river was inconsequential and Negreanu headed to the registration desk to buy back in.

Small River Bet from Chidwick Gets the Job Done

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened for 3,500 from the cutoff and Rainer Kempe called from the small blind.

Both players proceeded to check the {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop, and action repeated itself on the {5-Clubs} turn.

The {4-Spades} river saw Kempe check for a third time, and Chidwick paused for a few beats before betting 4,500. That did the trick as Kempe released.
