Hands #28-30: Koonce Puts Himself in a Bind

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Hand #28: Marc Rivera raised to 600,000 from under the gun with {a-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Ramon Colillas shipped all in for 8,350,000 in the small blind with {a-Spades}{q-Spades}. Rivera quickly folded and Colillas scooped the pot.

Hand #29: Julien Martini opened to 600,000 in the cutoff with {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Colillas shipped again with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} on the button. The action was back on Martini and he also laid down his hand.

Hand #30: Colillas bumped it up to 650,000 with {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} in the cutoff and Jason Koonce defended from the big blind with {a-Spades}{5-Spades}. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Koonce led out for 1,100,000. Colillas called after flopping top pair and the {10-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Koonce fired out another bet of 2,700,000 and Colillas used two time extensions before making the call. The river brought the {a-Clubs} and Koonce opted to check this time. Colillas announced all in, putting Koonce to the test for his remaining 5,225,000 chips. Koonce used a time extension as well but eventually decided to fold.
