Jiang Wins One, Loses One

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Just before the end of the previous level, Sosia Jiang sent Jussi Nevanlinna to the rail.

The Finn jammed for

Jussi Nevanlinna: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Sosia Jiang: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

On a board of {J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Nevanlinna found no help and headed to the rail.

Jiang was barely done stacking the profit when Chris Johnson jammed the cutoff for 380,000. Jiang looked him up out of the small blind and the cards were turned over.

Chris Johnson: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Sosia Jiang: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Johnson remained in contention.

Bicknell Doubles Through Marsh

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

We didn't see whether the money went in preflop or postflop, but Kristen Bicknell was all in for 830,000 in the cutoff when we got to the table, with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} against the {9-Spades}{8-Spades} of small blind Luke Marsh. The {9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} board brought plenty of sweat for Bicknell but she survived.

Badziakouski Goes for Value

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Marvin Rettenmaier raised it up to 60,000 in the hijack and was called by Mikita Badziakouski in the small blind and Luke Marsh in the big blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} and the action checked to Rettenmaier who bet 125,000. Badziakouski called and Marsh got out of the way.

The turn brought the {q-Clubs} and both players checked to the {3-Hearts} on the river. Badziakouski led out for 180,000 and Rettenmaier looked him. Badziakouski turned over {j-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Rettenmaier sent his cards to the muck.

Jiang Eliminates Celestino

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ariel Celestino shoved from under the gun for 280,000 for the second straight orbit. This time, Sosia Jiang reshipped to isolate him.

Sosia Jiang: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Ariel Celestino: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades} brought nothing for Celestino but he got the {6-Clubs} turn for some decent equity. The river was the {5-Clubs} though, and he knuckled the table in submission.

Gregg on the Good Side of a Cooler

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Tony Gregg and Pedro Chaves got all of the chips in the middle with Gregg at risk for 675,000. Once the cards were tables, it was no wonder the action was fast and furious.

Tony Gregg: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Pedro Chaves: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Gregg found a perfect spot to wake up with aces and hold a commanding lead preflop. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Gregg scored himself a double up.

O'Brien Gets a Lucky Double Through West

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jonathan West raised under the gun and called what he thought was a shove from Dan O'Brien, who had announced 500,000 across the table. However, O'Brien had 70,000 back and West said he was sticking that in without seeing the flop.

The dealer spread {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and O'Brien warned West that since it was a money jump and the day was nearly done, he had to time down. Eventually, after using all his banks, he stuck the last 70,000 in.

Dan O'Brien: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Jonathan West: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The {j-Diamonds} turn brought a sweat but the river was the {7-Clubs}.

Bigger Set for Colillas

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ramon Colillas opened to 85,000 from under the gun and Felix Schneiders pushed all in for 505,000 on the button. Schneiders was sitting on one of the shorter stacks at the table and Colillas made the call to put him at risk.

Ramon Colillas: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Felix Schneiders: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Schneiders was in desperate need of a nine in order to stay alive and he got one on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop but it wasn't enough as Colillas also flopped a set. The {5-Clubs} on the turn left Schneiders drawing to one out and the {6-Hearts} on the river wasn't it, ending his deep run.

West on Crumbs

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jonathan West bet 500,000 in the small blind on {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}, with about 1.1 million already in the pot. Yiannis Liperis called in the cutoff after some thought and the river was the {4-Diamonds}. West checked and Liperis moved all in after about 15 seconds. It was 935,000. West thought a bit as cameras gathered, then stuck one chip in the middle.

Liperis opened {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the nuts and West mucked without showing.
