Faria Takes From Colillas

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Luis Faria raised first to act and was called by Ramon Colillas in the big blind. The flop came {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and both players checked. Colillas bet the {4-Hearts} turn for 365,000 to pick up a call by Faria before using time bank on the {4-Spades} river and checking. Faria used a time bank also and bet 275,000, Colillas folded.

Bicknell Doubles Through Faria

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Kristen Bicknell shoved for a little over 1.3 million in middle position and small blind Luis Faria stuck in enough to set her at risk.

Kristen Bicknell: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Luis Faria: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

It was a good spot for Bicknell and the king kicker stayed true on the {6-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board.

Bicknell Gets Some More; Duta Jams Into Shakerchi

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Luis Faria opened to 225,000 and Kristen Bicknell defended the big blind to see the {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop. Both Bicknell and Faria checked and the former then bet the {7-Diamonds} turn for 325,000, Faria called. On the {8-Hearts} river, Bicknell made it 650,000 to go and Faria folded after some consideration.

At the same time, Talal Shakerchi raised to 200,000 over on the outer table and Florian Duta came along out of the big blind. The flop brought {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Duta check-raised from 205,000 to 580,000, which Shakerchi called. What followed was a near instant shove of Duta on the {5-Hearts} turn and Shakerchi folded with around 20 big blinds behind.

Baumstein Leaves Duta on Four Bigs

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Scott Baumstein
Scott Baumstein

Scott Baumstein opened for 225,000 in the cutoff and Florian Duta made it 775,000 in the small blind. Baumstein moved all in for 4,410,000 and Duta breathed deep, got the count, and slammed down some chips to call.

Florian Duta: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Scott Baumstein: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Baumstein rose up and slung his bag over his shoulder but the {5-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop favored him in a big way. The {7-Spades} turn and {2-Hearts} river left the aces a winner and Duta sent over nearly all of his own chips.

Duta Doubles Through Stewart

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Scott Stewart open-shoved first to act and short stack Florian Duta asked for a count from one seat over, sitting on just four and a half big blinds. The jam was for 1,625,000 and Duta ended up using all his five remaining time banks to mull over his decision and called all in for 445,000, the rest of the table folded.

Florian Duta: {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Scott Stewart: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Duta took the lead on the {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and Stewart grabbed his time banks on the {J-Hearts} turn, telling the dealer "I give you all my time banks if you give me a three."

He then tried it with just three time banks and a grin on the face, but the {Q-Hearts} on the river was a blank to bring both players to near identical stacks.

Colillas Doubles Through Liperis

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Yiannis Liperis opened for 220,000 under the gun, Louis Boutin flatted on the button and Ramon Colillas jammed in the small blind for 1,240,000. Liperis reshoved and Boutin mucked.

Ramon Colillas: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Yiannis Liperis: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The {j-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{k-Spades} board gave Liperis a shot with a combo draw, but the {4-Clubs} river was a black card that didn't help him.

Baumstein Rocketing Farther Ahead

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Scott Baumstein three-bet to what looked to be 725,000 in the small blind when Marc Perrault opened early, and Perrault came along for the {9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} flop. Baumstein bet 450,000 and Perrault continued to the {2-Hearts}. This time, Perrault called a barrel of 775,000. On the {q-Clubs} river, Baumstein went with a similar sizing of 795,000. Perrault called fairly quickly but couldn't beat {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for flopped two pair.

Luis Faria Eliminated in 18th Place ($175,300)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Luis Faria
Luis Faria

Ramon Colillas raised to 230,000 on the button and Luis Faria moved all in for 1,370,000 from one seat over. Yiannis Liperis in the big blind asked for a count and then moved all in over the top, forcing a quick fold from Colillas.

Luis Faria: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Yiannis Liperis: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Liperis flopped top two pair on the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, and the {3-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river failed to keep Faria in contention. He takes home $175,300 for his efforts and next pay jump has been reached, as all remaining 17 players are guaranteed at least $202,400.
