Hands #27–31: Top Two for Bosca

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Vicente Bosca
Vicente Bosca

Hand #27: Pavel Veksler limped the button with the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Vicent Bosca in the small blind asked for the stack size of Veksler before shoving the small blind for 1,830,000 with the {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Veksler asked for the all in amount for information and folded.

Hand #28: Chino Rheem raised with the {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} in middle position and Veksler jammed the small blind in the cutoff with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Rheem instantly folded and Veksler claimed the pot.

Hand #29: Mihai Manole hammed {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} in the small blind for 905,000 and Daniel Strelitz folded {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} in the big blind.

Hand #30: Rheem opened to 125,000 from under the gun with {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Bosca in the hijack called with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Marc-Andre Ladouceur flat-called with {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and they headed three ways to the {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, which gave Ladouceur top pair. He checked, as did Rheem, and Bosca bet 150,000. Only Ladouceur called and the {A-Hearts} followed on the turn.

Ladouceur checked once more and Bosca checked behind. The {K-Hearts} on the river brought another two checks and Ladouceur claimed the pot.

Hand #31: Bosca limped in with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Ladouceur filled up from the small blind with {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, Rheem checked {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} in the big blind. On the {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop, Ladouceur check-called a bet of 100,000 and knuckled the table again on the {9-Spades} turn. Bosca bet 250,000 and Ladouceur folded.

Mihai Manole

Hand #23: Scott Wellenbach raised to 150,000 from the cutoff with {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}. Chino Rheem defended the big blind with {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

"Scott, guess what I'm gonna do for you? I'm gonna check dark," Rheem said.

The flop was {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and after the dark check, Rheem folded to a 320,000 bet.

Hand #24: From the cutoff, Daniel Strelitz raised to 120,000 with {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Brian Altman called from the big blind with {K-Spades}{6-Spades} and flopped a pair on {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. He checked and Strelitz checked his straight draw behind.

The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Altman checked. Strelitz bet 125,000 and won the hand.

Hand #25: Strelitz raised to 120,000 from the hijack with {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Pavel Veksler defended the big blind with {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. The flop came {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Strelitz picked it up with a bet of 100,000.

Hands #17–21: Kings for Manole

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Mihai Manole
Mihai Manole

Hand #17: Daniel Strelitz raised to 120,000 in the hijack with the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Chino Rheem called on the button with {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Pavel Veksler in the big blind asked to see the stack of Strelitz and called with {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. The flop came {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Veksler quickly checked, as did Strelitz and Rheem.

On the {3-Spades} turn, Veksler and so did Strelitz with top pair. Rheem bet 180,000, which resulted in a fold from Veksler and a call from Strelitz. The {6-Diamonds} appeared on the river and they checked it down, Strelitz got some chips back.

Hand #18: Rheem opened to 150,000 in the cutoff with {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Brian Altman called on the button with the {K-Spades}{6-Spades}. The flop came {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} and Rheem checked, Altman bet and Rheem instantly folded.

Hand #19: First to act, Manole opened to 130,000 with the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Scott Wellenbach called in the big blind with {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The flop brought {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Wellenbach checked, Manole bet 150,000 and picked up a call. After the {7-Hearts} turn, Wellenbach checked once more and Manole shoved for 375,000 to force a fold from Wellenbach.

Hand #20: Rheem opened to 150,000 with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Vincent Bosca on the button moved all in for 1,650,000 with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. The Spaniard got no action, as Rheem folded.

Hand #21: Rheem raised to 150,000 with the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and scored the blinds and antes.

Hands #14–16: Runner-Runner Launches Altman

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Brian Altman
Brian Altman

Hand #14: Action folded to Daniel Strelitz in the small blind, who moved all in with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} on short stack Marc-Andre Ladouceur, who folded {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Hand #15: Brian Altman raised to 150,000 from under the gun with {A-Spades}{9-Spades}. Marc-Andre Ladouceur shoved all in for 925,000 from the small blind and Altman folded.

Hand #16: Daniel Strelitz raised to 120,000 from the cutoff with {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, Ladouceur called on the button with {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Altman defended his big blind with {8-Spades}{6-Spades}.

The {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop was as perfect as they'd come for Strelitz. Altman checked. Strelitz set a trap and checked his nut straight as well, but Ladouceur checked his top pair behind. On the {4-Spades} turn, Altman picked up a flush draw to go with his pair. He checked, Strelitz bet 225,000 and Ladouceur called.

Altman put in a check-raise to 700,000 and Strelitz, still having the nuts, just elected to call. Ladouceur had seen enough and folded.

The river {K-Spades} completed the backdoor spade draw to give Altman the checkmark. Altman used a time bank card before settling on a bet of 650,000. Strelitz instantly called and was shown the bad news.

"So sick. Oh, that's so sick. Had a spade too," Strelitz muttered.

Hands #9–13: Rheem Wins Three-Bet Pot

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Chino Rhreem
Chino Rhreem

Hand #9: Scott Wellenbach raised to 150,000 in early position with the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Marc-Andre Ladouceur called in the cutoff with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Chip leader Chino Rheem on the button asked for the stack size of Wellenbach and splashed in a three-bet to 500,000 with {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.

Wellenbach called and Ladouceur also called to make it three ways to the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. Wellenbach and Ladouceur both checked and Rheem checked behind. The {6-Spades} appeared on the turn and once more it was checked over to Rheem, who now took the betting lead with 490,000. That did the trick to force folds and award the pot to Rheem.

Hand #10: Wellenbach opened to 150,000 first to act with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and found no resistance.

Hand #11: Daniel Strelitz raised to 120,000 with {K-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Rheem called from one seat over in the hijack with {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}, Wellenbach came along with {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The flop brought {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and no betting took place. Wellenbach turned a straight with the {8-Spades} and bet 300,000, which won the pot.

Hand #12: First to act, Strelitz min-raised to 120,000 with {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and scooped the blinds and ante.

Hand #13: Mihai Manole jammed the small blind with the {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} for 535,000 and Strelitz asked for a count with {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

"I so wish it was a little bit more chips," Strelitz said. Manole joked "he said call" and Strelitz happened to use one time bank extension before folding.

Hands #4–8: Raise and Take It Towards Dinner Break

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #4: Chino Rheem raised to 125,000 in middle position with {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and everyone folded.

Hand #5: Brian Altman raised to 125,000 in middle position with {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and everyone folded.

Hand #6: Pavel Veksler raised to 100,000 in middle position with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and for the third time in a row, no resistance was put up.

Hand #7: Veksler once again found a hand in {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and made it 100,000 to go. Rheem defended his big blind with {A-Clubs}{3-Spades} and paired his inferior kicker on the {K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop. Veksler bet 100,000 and Rheem quickly called.

The {4-Hearts} on the turn got checked through and the {2-Clubs} fell on the river, bringing a chop. Rheem checked, Veksler bet 150,000 and Rheem called to chop it up.

Hand #8: Veksler opened for the third time in a row, now with {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to 100,000 from under the gun. Wellenbach wasn't having it and three-bet to 300,000 in middle position with {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. Veksler called but quickly check-folded to a 400,000 bet on the {K-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop.
