Hands #1–3: Rheem Extends Lead

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #1: Chino Rheem in the cutoff raised to 125,000 with the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Pavel Veksler called in the big blind with the {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. The flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Veksler quickly checked. Rheem continued for 140,000 and Veksler double-checked his cards before making the call.

After the {A-Diamonds} turn, Veksler checked and Rheem checked behind to spike the {5-Spades} on the river. Veksler checked and Rheem made it 400,000 to go. Veksler called and lost.

Hand #2: Scott Wellenbach raised first to act to 125,000 with the {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Daniel Strelitz with {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} three-bet to 375,000.

"Those are stacks of 20, right?" Wellenbach asked and Strelitz nodded.

Wellenbach then called and they headed to the {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop. Wellenbach quickly checked and Strelitz did so after brief consideration. On the {10-Clubs} turn, Wellenbach checked once more and Strelitz bet 325,000, which won the pot right there.

Hand #3: Rheem opened to 125,000 with the {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} in the hijack and Wellenbach defended the {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Both checked the {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Wellenbach checked the {K-Clubs} turn as well. Rheem bet 75,000 and claimed the pot a few seconds later, as Wellenbach released his cards near instantly.

Wellenbach Closes Gap to Rheem

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Short stack Simon Deadman moved all in for 770,000 with the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Chino Rheem in the big blind said "first card is good for you," then asked for a count as he had the {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a pocket pair. Rheem folded and said in table chat that he had pocket sixes.

"Are we flipping there?" Rheem asked and Deadman replied, "Chino, you are like a 100% there, you haven't lost an all in yet today."

Pavel Veksler raised to 100,000 with the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Scott Wellenbach called in middle position with the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Marc-Andre Ladouceur called with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} on the button and Rheem filled up from the small blind with {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The flop came {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and action checked to Wellenbach, who bet 300,000. Rheem was the only caller and they headed to the {Q-Hearts} turn. They opted to check and the {5-Clubs} river as well and Wellenbach all but closed the gap to Rheem.
