Vogelsang Calls Floor on Nguyen

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Chino Rheem raised the button to 90,000 and Daniel Strelitz called in the big blind.

"You remember the ace-queen hand from the Bellagio?" Rheem asked and Strelitz grinned back "that's the one I was thinking about right now."

Nothing much came out of the hand as they checked down the board of {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Rheem claimed the pot with {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

The pace on the outer table had been slow for quite some time, and especially short stack Tommy Nguyen used his entire 30 seconds to act all the time. Christoph Vogelsang mentioned just that in table chat and told Nguyen that he was going to call the floor.

"It is nothing personal," he added.

Right after, Nguyen used his last two time banks first to act and moved all in with one second remaining. Action folded to Mihai Manole in the big blind and he used two time banks before letting go.

Matthias Eibinger Eliminated in 14th Place ($77,620)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Matthias Eibinger and Chino Rheem
Matthias Eibinger and Chino Rheem

Matthias Eibinger and Chino Rheem had tangled several times throughout the last two days and the Austrian went from one of the chip leaders to shorter stack after two clashes with Rheem on Day 2. It was no coincidence as such that they would meet again and it sealed the fate of Eibinger.

The action started with a cutoff raise to 80,000 by Eibinger and Rheem called on the button. On a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Eibinger checked and Rheem bet 125,000. Eibinger cut out his remaining stack carefully, which happened to be 1,045,000, and pushed all in. Rheem almost beat him into the pot and the camera crews rushed by to film the showdown.

Matthias Eibinger: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Chino Rheem: {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Rheem had a ton of outs with his pair and flush draw, but the final blow came in runner-runner fashion as he hit the {8-Diamonds} turn and {9-Diamonds} river for a ten-high straight. Eibinger has been eliminated in 14th place and takes home $77,620.
