Margets Doubles Through Machon

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Leo Margets
Leo Margets

Leo Margets opened to 4,500 from early position and received a call. Bartlomiej Machon simply shoved it in for nearly 60,000 in the cutoff, Margets called all in for 45,000 and the other player folded.

Leo Margets: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Bartlomiej Machon: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The dealer fanned out {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} to keep Margets' queens best.

Benger Eliminated by Anderson

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Griffin Benger (at the PSPC)
Griffin Benger (at the PSPC)

Griffin Benger was all in and at risk for his final crumbs and called by Calvin Anderson and Guilherme Paes Campos. On the {3-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop, Paes checked, Anderson bet 5,000, Paes check-raised to 17,000, and Anderson called. The two then checked it down on the {A-Spades} turn and {A-Hearts} river.

Paes revealed a counterfeited {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Anderson showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, Benger tabled {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and was subsequently eliminated.

Van Zadelhoff Out in Two Steps

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Steven van Zadelhoff (at an earlier event)
Steven van Zadelhoff (at an earlier event)

Dutch viking Steven van Zadelhoff was nurturing a stack 35,000 but lost those chips in two hands in quick succession. After losing a coin flip with ace-king versus nines, Van Zadelhoff was left with about six big blinds. Those went in with {K-Spades}{6-Spades} against {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs} but a {Q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} board let the better kicker play.

Van Zadelhoff will jump in the Day 1b flight which just kicked off.

Baldwin Snipes Ruvio

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Jean-Rene Fontaine raised to 3,200 from early position and Eric Baldwin called on the button. Manuel Ruivo three-bet shoved around 32,000 from the big blind, Fontaine folded, and Baldwin called.

Manuel Ruivo: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Eric Baldwin: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop all but decided it, although the {J-Diamonds} did provide Ruivo with a lifeline. The {3-Clubs} wasn't the ten he needed and he headed for the rail. Together with Uri Reichenstein, Baldwin commands one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Yosifov Railed, Rezaei Back to Baldwin's Left

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In a blind on blind confrontation, Dimitar Yosifov shoved and Dirk Noortman called it off.

Dimitar Yosifov: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Dirk Noortman: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The board fell {6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Noortman paired up to send Yosifov home.

At another table, Daniel Rezaei has reentered and taken the open seat to Eric Baldwin's left. Earlier, Rezaei was seated to Baldwin's right before busting to him, and the two laughed heartily about it.
