Botteon Sends Turnbull To The Rail

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Christopher Turnbull moved all in from under the gun for 83,000 and it folded over to Brunno Botteon in the hijack who made the call. The rest of the table got out of the way and the hands were shown.

Christopher Turnbull: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Brunno Botteon: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Turnbull was in need of help to find a double up, but when the board ran out {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, it was the ace-king that held to send Turnbull to the payout desk in 55th place.

Konnikova Scores Massive Double Up

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Maria Konnikova
Maria Konnikova

The action was picked up in a pot of 42,000 on a flop showing {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Daniel De Sousa Custodio bet out 30,000 from the cutoff and Maria Konnikova moved all in for 169,000 next to act. Custodio took a few seconds before making the call and the cards were on their backs.

Maria Konnikova: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Daniel De Sousa Custodio: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

It was virtually a coin flip between the queens for Custodio and the open-ended straight draw and flush draw for Konnikova. The turn came the {2-Clubs} and the river fell the {4-Diamonds}, giving Konnikova a flush and a massive double up late into Day 2.

Sanz Puts The Pressure On Anderson

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Guillermo Sanz
Guillermo Sanz

Blake Anderson opened to 16,000 from under the gun and it folded around to Guillermo Sanz who made the call in the cutoff.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Anderson continued for 15,000, which Sanz called. On the {2-Hearts} turn Anderson bet again, this time to 25,000. Sanz took a moment before tossing in five blue chips for a call.

The {k-Spades} completed the board and Anderson kept up the aggression with a bet of 45,000. Sanz pondered for a few seconds before sliding in a raise to 145,000. Anderson quickly let his hand go and the pot was sent to the PokerStars Ambassador.
