Teska Gets Shorter

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Picking Up the action after a raise by Roger Teska and a call by Lance Steinberg, the flop showed {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Teska bet 600 and called a raise to 1,800 to then check the {a-Hearts} turn. Steinberg bet 4,000 and Teska folded after a couple of seconds.

Steinberg revealed the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair and some table chat broke out. "That's pretty good, don't think he could beat it," Chance Kornuth added. Steinberg replied "I think so, but you know, he could rebuy. I am playing very tight so I have tomorrow off".

Stefan Huber
Stefan Huber

The seat of Michael Vanier was already open when a larger pot developed between Jamie Sequeira and Stefan Huber. With 12,900 in the middle to the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} turn, Huber checked and then called a bet worth 3,800. Huber checked again the {2-Clubs} on the river and Sequeira now made it 6,500 to go.

The fold by Huber followed and Sequeira smiled. "That's a good one," he said and flashed his cards to Pedro Garagnani first before revealing the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} to the table. "I think you bluffed him," Thomas Boivin chimed in and Huber was left with a dry smile on the face.

Michael Rocco raised it up to 500 and was called only by Espen Jorstad in the big blind. Neither player invested any chips on the {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop and the {5-Diamonds} turn brought a second flush draw. Jorstad bet 1,000 for Rocco to call, which led them to the {q-Clubs} on the river.
