Akkari Forces Fold From Sharma

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Picking up the action on the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts} turn, Rajat Sharma checked in the cutoff. Andre Akkari bet 6,200 on the button and picked up a call by Sharma. Another check by Sharma on the {j-Spades} river followed and Akkari now bet 27,000. That sent his table neighbour into the tank as the TV crews started rushing to the table.

Sharma pondered about the decision for half a minute and folded.

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Daniel Neilson: {8-}{8-}

Martin Stausholm

Franck Makaci opened to 2,500 from under the gun before Martin Stausholm made it 10,000 on his direct left. Action folded back to Makaci who reraised to 20,000. Stausholm quickly jammed for 70,000 total and Makaci snap-called.

Moorman Always* Gets it in Good

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

PokerNews caught the hand as Marcello Del Grosso and Chris Moorman were all in on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

Marcello Del Grosso: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Chris Moorman: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Moorman was well in the lead with his flopped set, and the board completed with {q-Spades}{3-Hearts} to improve him to a full house to win the hand, eliminating Del Grosso in the process.

When asked when the all-in occurred, Moorman replied, "On the flop of course!" But was soon corrected by the table that they did, in fact, get it all in preflop.

"Noooo, then they'll think I got it in bad!" Moorman joked, "I always get it in good!"

Meanwhile, Del Grosso re-entered the tournament at a nearby table.

Eric Afriat
Eric Afriat

Diogo Cardoso opened to 2,500 from the button and was called by Eric Afriat from the small blind. Pedro Garagnani, who previously bested Afriat in preflop raising war earlier on, three-bet to 11,000.

Cardoso folded but Afriat then put in the back-raise to 27,500. Garagnani was taken by surprise and inquired about Afriat's stack size and Afriat did the same.

Garagnani, who was the bigger stack, moved all in and was snap-called by Afriat who had a stack size of 92,200.

Eric Afriat: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Pedro Garagnani:: {a-}{q-}

Garagnani failed to connect on the {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} runout and Afriat scooped in the sizeable pot.
