Gonsalves Felted by Mikolaitis

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Down to the last 23,000 in chips, Markus Gonsalves was all in and at risk. A typical coin flip emerged versus Dominykas Mikolaitis as the following cards were revealed.

Markus Gonsalves: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Dominykas Mikolaitis: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop spelled trouble for Gonsalves, who remained ahead on the {5-Hearts} turn. However, the {10-Clubs} river was no blank as Mikolaitis improved to a flush.

There was around 22,000 in the pot. Paulina Loeliger was in middle position against Mustapha Kanit in the small blind.

The board was complete and read {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Kanit checked and Loeliger fired 18,000. Kanit went into the tank before making the call. Loeliger showed {q-Clubs}{10-Spades} for nothing while Kanit turned over {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights to take down the pot.

Seidel Sextuples-Up Then Busts

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Erik Seidel put in his last 1,000 from early position. Pascal Hartmann then raised to 4,500 from the hijack. The remaining players folded and Seidel was at risk of elimination.

Erik Seidel: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Pascal Hartmann: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {4-Hearts} was in the window and was followed by the {q-Clubs} and {10-Diamonds} for Seidel to become the big favorite. The {8-Clubs} turn gave Hartmann a straight draw but Seidel made a full house on the {10-Hearts} river to have a stack of 6,000.

The very next hand, Seidel jammed again and action folded to Martin Raus from the big blind.

"I guess we'll look together," said Raus as he made the blind call.

Erik Seidel: {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Martin Raus: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Seidel was behind and was unable improve on the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} runout and was eliminated from the PCA Main Event

Amiri Leads the Way; Saliba Doubles Through Badziakouski

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ehsan Amiri
Ehsan Amiri

Ehsan Amiri emerged with a massive stack and recalled the action as follows.

According to the Aussie, he faced a raise to 4,500 by Pascal Lefrancois and three-bet to 17,000 from one seat over. Brandon Wilson then four-bet to 45,000 with around 100,000 behind and Lefrancois folded. Amiri jammed with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and was called by Wilson with pocket kings.

On a {10-}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-}{3-Diamonds} runout, Amiri improved to the nut flush and skyrocketed near the top of the leaderboard. Another big stack can be found one table over in Evan Sparling.

Amiri's table produced another all-in showdown when Mikita Badziakouski defended the big blind and led the {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs} turn; Justin Saliba called. On the {5-Clubs} river, Badziakouski bet 18,000 into 33,000 and Saliba moved all in for a mere 29,500. The sigh-call by Badziakouski followed and Saliba tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the nuts as Badziakouski briefly flashed the {k-Diamonds}{4-}.

Michael Gathy
Michael Gathy

Action was caught on the river with 21,500 in the pot on the {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts} completed board. Juan Pardo checked from the small blind and Michael Gathy bet 15,000. Pardo responded by jamming as the big stack. Gathy, who had 81,000 behind, went into the tank and found the call.

Pardo had a pair of eights with his {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} but Gathy's {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} was the winner as he rivered a pair of aces.

Hudon Cracks Raymond's Aces

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Eliot Hudon
Eliot Hudon

Elias Gutierrez raised to 13,000 preflop and was immediately three-bet to 35,000 by Alexandre Raymond, but then Eliot Hudon four-bet jammed for 113,000.

Gutierrez promptly got out of the way and Raymond quickly made the call, putting Hudon at risk.

Eliot Hudon: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Alexandre Raymond: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Hudon shook his head as he realized he was on the wrong side of this classic cooler, but the flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} was wondrous for him as he flopped top set.

The board completed with {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs} to secure his victory and he was pushed the huge pot for a big double-up as Raymond was left as the one shaking his head.

Machado Gets Another Chance

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Rodrigo Seiji
Rodrigo Seiji

Chance Kornuth raised to 4,000 and then faced the all-ins of Rodrigo Seiji for 36,000 and Andre Machado for 33,000 out of the cutoff and button, respectively, which he called without any hesitation.

Rodrigo Seiji: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Andre Machado: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Chance Kornuth: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Neither player connected with the {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and {4-Hearts} turn. However, the {3-Spades} river gave Machado a wheel and he tripled up while Kornuth won the tiny side pot to bust Seiji.
